Hasn't the cost of everything gone up? Should resort employees get paid like they were 20 years ago so that you can ski cheaply? Isn't Whistler one of the premier ski destinations in the world? Surely there are cheaper locations closer to you?
min wage back then was $8. min wage is now $16

a lift ticket back then was roughly $60. now its $250.

the americans took it over and thats when it got :censored2:ed up.

the europeans have nice mountains and theyre apparently more affordable than here.

Merry Christmas Ricky. Do you have any idea how many trillions the U.S. has spent trying to eliminate poverty? It's never going to happen. About all we can do at this point is have programs in place where people can turn to for food. And other necessities as needed.
america should stop spending trillion on war every year which creates poverty and spend it on eliminating it.

USA is between 2 and 3x higher poverty rate than denmark.

may the force be with you the force will be with you always.

The Europeans have ski areas all over the place with the Alps and competition helps keep prices down. Do you think people working at ski areas only make minimum wage? It's seasonal work and people have to be paid more to come work there. And Whistler is one of the premier ski resorts of the world.
