Most of the population was scared less during the pandemic. many people just quit their jobs. The company feed into that virtue signaling fear for better or worse. Most people came to work every day and did their job during a very difficult time. That was extremely stressful whether you were worried about the virus or not because of the things that were happening all around us . And I’m including most management in that.
