The five was a good one. I wish they would bring it back.Well shoot if someone gives back diad 5 or edd or maps or regular start times I could hammer out surepost bags like newspaper deliveries, but best I can do in these circumstances is one sixxy
I noticed we have maps back here. I’m not certain it’s the same because I never really used them before but the option is back.
They'll be forking over a lot of 9.5 grievance money while having insane stop counts and missed packages. I got a decent amount of seniority so hopefully they hire some drivers.Originally, we had planned to keep some of these seasonals then we were told we’re keeping none of them. They are screwed if they don’t.
You should have told him yeah we also voted for stiffer 9.5 grievance penalties too.Center manager told us it’s our fault because we voted for this……
What I don’t understand is a lot of these guys are going faster because they like to go home at 5.then complain they’re heavier the next day. They'll be forking over a lot of 9.5 grievance money while having insane stop counts and missed packages. The harder you work the more work they give you. Classic UPS.What I don’t understand is a lot of these guys are going faster because they like to go home at 5.then complain they’re heavier the next day.
In a few weeks after a couple of 9.5 grievances have been filed he’ll know plenty. You should have told him yeah we also voted for stiffer 9.5 grievance penalties too.
If I understand the issue correctly, it had nothing to do with the contract- it was a business decision on USPS side.In a few weeks after a couple of 9.5 grievances have been filed he’ll know plenty.
Similar. Busiest day during peak was 272, yesterday I had 304. Pretty big area (in relation). We were short on drivers, no PVDs. My helper actually came in tho so I was very relieved. We don't have maps back yet.
Yesterday I had 200 stops on 140-150 stop route. On Jan 3rd! More stops than I had all peak.
The scenario of a basically two- day pause, on the back end of Christmas, not to mention the 25th being in the middle of the week and a unprecedented change with sure post, with seasonal reduction, seems to have created the heaviest day of the year based on staffing to volume ratio.Similar. The real kicker are the time commits. Having to run your entire route essentially to get the commits off and start over again is a tough pill.
You are correct this was the USPS decision. But UPS and their infinite wisdom was unprepared and isn’t even considering hiring people…If I understand the issue correctly, it had nothing to do with the contract- it was a business decision on USPS side.
File, File, FileYou are correct this was the USPS decision. But UPS and their infinite wisdom was unprepared and isn’t even considering hiring people…
Yep, they’re gonna leave us. No choice.File, File, File

In other words, bend over!Precisely
Pure speculation but I guess they are expecting price increases to level this volume down to a manageable range. You are correct this was the USPS decision. But UPS and their infinite wisdom was unprepared and isn’t even considering hiring people…
Which no doubt will happen, but that will be several months from now.Pure speculation but I guess they are expecting price increases to level this volume down to a manageable range.
Everybody buckle up it’s go to feel like cutbacks x2 this quarter.Which no doubt will happen, but that will be several months from now.
