Is it true that SurePost is going to be eliminated?

Yeah we have low seniority seasonal peak drivers thinking they are going to be RPCDs now. Lol. Another 5-10 years guys. Back to pt loading next week.
Everyone is freaking out. It will correct itself in a week or so. Our pcm was brutal explaining how it was going to work itself out. Put the customer first and let the ones in charge do their thing. It’s not that difficult.

Look like it's over me, a basic service. We're just going to charge a little bit more for it.

Who knows. This company's going right down the toilet

Do tell what was said at your pcm, inquiring minds want to know.

Why does anybody think that this volume will stay in the UPS system without the SurePost partnership price structure?
I absolutely don’t believe we will keep all that volume. But I do believe we’ll keep some of it because I’m not certain there’s gonna be a lot of other cheaper options. We will just have to see how it shakes out.

Maybe we will keep some of that volume as shippers scramble for cheaper alternatives in the extreme short term,

....then what, after it shakes out?

I think these delivery companies are all going raise their rates. Meaning we might keep a portion of that delivery volume. I in no way believe we will keep the amount of surepost volume we get now.

You smell that?
I may be wrong but we had UPS Basic(early 2000s)before smartpost started. Similar in that we took some to the PO but also delivered some. Driver release 1st attempt/no claims.

I remember when we started that.... management had to threaten to fire a couple of folks because they wouldn't DR packages to a closed business or in the projects

Kinda like the idiots that bring back an AR1(I think that's what they are called) call tag and sheet it NR1. The 1 means drop and go...I always wanted to make an airplane out of 'em and just chunk it out the window as I was driving by the house

5 lb package NYC to Beverly Hills, CA

-$20.13 UPS Ground Saver

-$22.65 USPS Ground Advantage

Maybe our upcoming rate increase will change things, nonetheless the pricing is very close.
