Is it true that SurePost is going to be eliminated?

Why does anybody think that this volume will stay in the UPS system without the SurePost partnership price structure?
Because, just like every other time in history, the competition will raise their rates the same as we did. And when the competition raises their rates, we follow suit. Why does anybody think it will be different this time?

Because the competitors rates are lower and the competition greater than ever before.

This volume was massive (millions of packages) and many UPS jobs are dependent on the partnership we had with the USPS.

If it goes away, the fall out will be massive.

Maybe they're lower today, but you've been around too long to believe they'll stay that way. Just like at times our rates are lower, they don't stay that way. Sure, we're going to lose some, but as far a dependent jobs go, this plug should've been pulled years ago when fdx pulled smartpost.

What's ridiculous is ups, again, not having a plan.

Have you checked rates lately?
