They will hire just enough drivers to make sure they can give drivers dives and distribute volume in a way that very few will get paid. Same :censored2: they do now.
I have no doubt as this is the way the company operated since I’ve worked here 33 years. But I am glad IBT did not bend this time. This is not an unforeseen emergency. This is the company refusing to plan properly, and thinking they can just twist arms.

Well, I’m not necessarily against new technology and if my Diad can beep and tell me what shelf the package was on great! I would be fine with that. The problem is. I would have to be able to get that package.first.

My building already has the RIFD labels for the loaders. It does “help” with the misLoads but they are not eliminated. When one of those labels gets on a package that’s wrong. It’s still loaded improperly.

We will effectively be robots. We will probably be expected to increase production by 25%. Our bodies will bear the cost.

Easy to tell this all comes from office geeks who have never worked in the real world.

More over allow for the drivers. They pretty much quit caring about those numbers a long time ago. Doesn't matter what they expect when drivers have to start bring back more packages they didn't have time to make attempts on.

Yep, and the supervision they have now can’t show you how to make those numbers either, which is hilarious! I always welcome a ride to show me how to do it better, and they never accept the challenge!

How many of your supervisors even spent any time as a driver now?

A handful of supervisors can manage their drivers well but most cannot teach the basics of the job because they have never done it. Two totally different concepts.
I had a safety ride this week. And the 20 something on road supervisor wore low top shoes after we had 12 inches of snow the day before. First stop of the day was knee-deep in snow and his shoes were completely full. I almost felt sorry for him and his feet after about nine hours. 😂😉
