Thats what i was thinking even though osha stopped pushing it because of a court order. All the lawsuits have been combined so i think its the 6th circuit court thats very conservative. 16 r 3 dems. It has to go in front of a 3 judges 1st but a motion has been filed to skip it and go right to the higher level. And thats 16 rep and 3 dems. So if Fed lost they would have to be appeal straight to Supreme Court.
The court is in Ohio not sure what Supreme court justice is over the 6th circuit. Im looking it up now

Top 2 Reasons for a strike

1. 22.4s Same work. Same Pay. Simple.

2. New Hires make too much money. I started at $8.50. They should too! Bare minimum I should make at least $15 more an hour than a worthless newbie millennial!

Ups will be over 10 billion for another record breaking year. But isn't joe Biden trying to raise the corporate tax. I know trump lowered it.
Trump's corporate tax cuts expire in 2025. Depending on who is in office at the time, it may either get extended or revert back to the prior tax brackets. I can see big and small businesses alike complaining, if during periods of high inflation and a non-existent pool of workforce candidates, they try to stick them with higher taxes.

Amazon is already in the game here. They have package cars, bulk vans, and alot of rs1 irreg returns have an Amazon shipping label on the box.
UPS needs us, and we need them, I just don't like being babysit and trivialized. It would benefit them to keep us happy.
Ups doesn’t even know if they need themselves… lol. I don’t want to strike but they better come to the table with a decent proposal…Sean will absolutely walk out on them if they bring a joke of an offer…many companies right now are striking or are about to.(ie kaiser). Ups needs to see this and understand that it doesn’t have to get close to this if they just are fair… I’m not asking for a grand slam contract, just be fair.

4 years is already insane. Getting rid of 22.4s and extending progression to 5 years plus probably eliminating the "every one on 9.5 list" language inside the 22.4 article would be a loss for us in my opinion.

Lots of things will have to be considered this next contract. Luckily pensions for help so that will help us a lot.
I thought 2 years was a long enough progression considering I was a hub rat for so many years..lol

Cant do that… everyone else is starting people at 15-20 an hour… I started at 8.00 in the early 90’s…absolutely can’t have that same rate in 2022… that can’t happen for so many reasons. Nobody would work here…

And the language for them is horrible
Some locals were able to shore up the language for the 22.4’s at the last minute but for the most part it was total crap. Especially the BS work inside crap…. So if there’s no work then they should be able to bump inside the building to get their 8… but that’s not happening, they are getting laid off…not cool Denis.

They can't bid a route, no 8-hour days or 9-5 protection

Wasn’t Denis from carhaul???? Sean was definitely able to negotiate that contract…. I guarantee that Sean hasn’t forgotten what happen to him and that will be in the back of his mind when they start the negotiations….it will drive him IMO.
