Ok there are say 250 million different combinations that could win.

On a normal draw say 5 million tickets are sold. Well if there’s only 5 million sold but 250 million combinations it’s unlikely one of those is a winner.

If 300 million tickets are sold. Well the chances that all 250 million combinations are covered and one of those is a winner is much higher.

So.....how does all this increase the chances of you winning?
I'm still confused.

It doesn’t really. Just keeps me from wasting money on a draw that’s unlikely to have anyone win.

It’s the lotto odds are not good at all. Even if it statistically increased your chances it would be like buying 10 tickets over 1. Sure technically the odds are better but they’re still so poor they are astronomical.

Your odds of winning are the same on day 1...or day 100
Now that the jackpot is huge your odds of co-winning are higher, since more tickets are sold.

If possible use the multiplier option ( only costs an extra buck per ticket ).
It multiplies your non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3 ,4,or 5 times.
Match the 5 balls and you could still walk away as a millionaire.
