So who built that cave complex that we dropped the Moab bomb on?

From a 2005' NY Times piece entitled Lost in Tora Bora

"The first time bin Laden had seen the Tora Bora caves, he had been a young mujahedeen fighter and a recent university graduate with a degree in civil engineering. It had been some 20 years before, during Washington's first Afghan war, the decade-long, C.I.A.-financed jihad of the 1980's against the Soviet occupation. Rising to more than 13,000 feet, 35 miles southwest of the provincial capital of Jalalabad, Tora Bora was a fortress of snow-capped peaks, steep valleys and fortified caves. Its miles of tunnels, bunkers and base camps, dug deeply into the steep rock walls, had been part of a C.I.A.-financed complex built for the mujahedeen. Bin Laden had flown in dozens of bulldozers and other pieces of heavy equipment from his father's construction empire, the Saudi Binladin Group, one of the most prosperous construction companies in Saudi Arabia and throughout the Persian Gulf. According to one frequently told story, bin Laden would drive one of the bulldozers himself across the precipitous mountain peaks, constructing defensive tunnels and storage depots."

11 million Dollar bomb to kill 36 of the enemy? Not much of a bang for the buck.
What if it were your son or brother or sister or daughter that had to go on foot into those caves/tunnels?
ISIS is determined and have announced it is their goal to kill Americans and Europeans.
Sometimes it's the least worst alternative ... like Trump.

Yep but there is an economic bright spot. Think of all the profits made building it and then all the profits that will be made destroying it.

Makes one ask the question, if we didn't build up our own enemies, would we even have naturally occurring enemies to even fight in the first place?

Do we dare venture down that rabbit hole?

I'd rather think about the American jobs created when making them.

Interesting question
I'd say so ... people are jealous of others ... that is why it is in the Ten Commandments.

Which one, Version 1 or Version 2?

Couldn't resist! ;)

Besides the jealous part is god describing himself and has nothing to do with people. Unless you want to argue that people personified god with human frailty. The greeks were really good at that too and seems the best explanation.

Christianity's exposure and incorporation of Greek concepts differentiates Christianity from Judaism even more than the incorporation of Egyptian religious beliefs.

typical liberal slop. by the way you didn't answer the question.

ISIS would like to kill you if they get the chance. would you like us to kill them first before they kill you.

If by some strange chance you believe in supporting our troops would you like to send them in the tunnels as tunnel rats in close in combat with the enemy or would you prefer they stand back a couple of miles while we flatten the ground in and around the enemy.

Oh I don't think that helps anything lets work on better batteries instead.

watch Europe and learn. everytime a European goes to hug a "refugee" they get bent over or their throat cut.
I didn't answer your question because it's not binary. The answer isn't either drop the Moab or send troops through the tunnels. There are a multitude of solutions. Mine would be to GTFO of Afghanistan, it's a waste of blood and treasure.

When we went in over 15 years ago it was the Taliban we were fighting, then Al-quida, now it's ISIS. What will the name of our enemy be tomorrow? Bin Laden got in one good shot and we've squandered trillions of dollars and countless lives in response. Time to cut our losses and leave the region.

now they are saying 90
How many millions would it cost us if 90 separate terrorists decided to carry out an attack. What did the Boston Bombing cost? Multiply that by 90 and that would be a minimum amount....could be bigger.

I don't disagree with GTFU .

but since the troops are there the decision is very much binary.

.
If by some strange chance you believe in supporting our troops would you like to support a politician who sends them to die in a third world country that hates us, or one that understands the irrationality of middle eastern politics and chooses to truly support our troops by bringing them home?

Everything with Trump has to be the biggest and the best.

Of course he said 'Do it' when the military brass said, "well, we have this special bomb...".
