They don' care if the guy lives or dies. They just don't want to pay for package theft.

But UPS doesn't stop deliveries based on danger to drivers.

They stop deliveries because of crime only when that crime hits their bottom line, as in package theft.

A driver feeling unsafe will be told to suck it up.

Because the package is worth more than his life.
