Great lakes area here -- I have not heard anything regarding part-time changing to 8 hour shifts.

No way the company could do 8 hour days. Think of all the time you spend in the building and driving to your area. You think the company wants to pay us 8 hours for 6 hours of work?

Even if they were willing to do that, I've never been in a UPS building yet that has capacity for all the extra cars that would require.

They always talk about this sort of stuff after peak. I doubt the 8 hr days, but 9.5 is generally what they try to stick to. Except they keep trying to add more stops and harass the drivers for not keeping it under.

That would be 43 stops and maybe up to 60 pieces on my route. Nfw they let me get away with that 5 days a week.

How many miles??? The guy that used to deliver to my daughter in MT said that 35-40 stops was an 8 hour day on his route.

That makes more sense to me , 8 hours sounds unrealistic

Every single year we hear this. Lasts somewhere between 0 and 3 days.

We will get a few days of decent dispatch. Then it’ll start creeping up. Then they’ll start production harassment.

With the prospect of another lockdown, Very possible more stimulus checks and a natural increase in Online Ordering it wont happen.
