This just isn't true.I was referring to a big building that mass hired 22.4s that have nothing to do but drive Saturdays outside of peak. These buildings have the excess drivers to kill any ot. A 7 driver center? Those drivers are the richest people in town.
I think they might have meant 8 dog hour days....I’m on the west coast and we are hearing from union 8 hour days starting January . Anyone else hearing this in their area?
Anyone working in a center that small isn’t really working for UPS. You have no clue. LolSmall 100 or 200 driver center.
LMAO
how bout 7 driver centers?
I’ve worked in 100 driver centers and 20 driver centers. They’re all the same.Anyone working in a center that small isn’t really working for UPS. You have no clue. Lol
Not true from the management side.I’ve worked in 100 driver centers and 20 driver centers. They’re all the same.
And even then that only would work if we leave the building on time and never have to break trace for a pickup. And I guess they will completely stop trying to service misloads too.So basically with leaving the building and return to building that would be a 7 hour dispatch every day and pickups wouldn't be done after 430pm. I don't see it.

I break trace for a pickup at least 15 miles every day of the year. Sad thing is there's another driver delivering there when i pick up. Too bad I'm just a dumb truck driver or i would say something. They have all the technology in the world and are too stupid to use it.And even then that only would work if we leave the building on time and never have to break trace for a pickup. Planned doesn't mean jack squat anymore. An 8.5 planned day will put every single driver in my building over 9.5 every day.Not everyone will get 8hr days. From what i heard ups wants the average building dispatch around 8.5hr planned
My “planned” day is usually about 6 and it takes me around 10 to finish.Planned doesn't mean jack squat anymore.
So that puts the average driver in my building at 10 hours paid. Looks like plenty of 9.5 grievances still. Not everyone will get 8hr days. From what i heard ups wants the average building dispatch around 8.5hr planned

Give me 3 or 4 or those to manage any day....
You can always do four 14 hour days, leaving you with just 4 DOT hours on Friday and at that point why even bother going in. By the time you get on route you would have less than three hours, save at least 30 minutes to return to center and it’s not even worth sending you out, it’s just risking a massive DOT fine. I managed to do this once (Prime week 2018), I had like 4.5 hours left on a Friday so they told me I could stay home.I wish I could work 4 12s ....6am to 6pm.
