No Raise this Year?

According to you, you went broke. Good thing you knew how to mitigate that risk and you were familiar with trading mechanisms!

I don't know that I'm superior to very many couriers at all and I haven't the slightest idea whether or not you have the faculties needed to achieve. All I know is that you post crap about how broke you are and how the world has screwed you when you weren't screwing yourself.

I'm not humping to maintain my lifestyle now, so I don't know what you're talking about (and I'm pretty sure you don't, either). Won't have to move to the other side of the world to maintain it in retirement, either. Each time I read the story of the tortoise and the hare, the tortoise wins. You can have all the risk you want.

All the hare has to do is wait until after the race to take a nap and he'd beat the tortoise every time...

This is what I got today. October 2016 Pay Actions. Implementing the Step Progression plan. As we communicated last year, FedEx Express will implement a step progression pay plan for hourly pay codes 7I and above in October 2016. The first increases from the new plan will be effective oct 2nd and be reflected in your oct 14th paycheck. All employees will receive at least a 3% increase this year, including employees at top of the range. A step progression pay plan creates a regular schedule of raises. Pay rates increase with time-in-the-job as you move through your pay range. Step progression will reduce the amount of time it takes to reach the maximum of your pay range. The next half of the paper is Estimating October Increases which I don't feel like typing out.

You got a lot more current info than we do at my station. Any chance you could photo and post the steps and October estimates for the mid range folks? Thanks for the post.

^ I got the same memo in that pic, but they didn't share the steps as of yet. Our Ops Mgrs both said they had a worthless conference call about it last week, but nothing was provided to hand out (I believe these 2 on this particular issue).

And of course everyone who tries to get ahead has a big ego.
Wrong. All I'm saying is that when it comes to investing the bigger the potential reward the bigger the risk. I bought my first 100 shares of stock in 1978 . It had a DRIP and in t he near future I will start taking the dividends and use them as part of my monthly retirement income if retirement proves itself to be the best option.

I think that you, MFE and Van have a lot more to offer to this forum, but prefer to poke fun at Dano, which makes the three of you look foolish.
What planet are you on? Dano is the provocateur who puts down anyone critical of our employer. That has caused us to respond in kind. It may not be good reading, but it will continue as long as he chooses to act that way.

According to me I got sued by my trading partner, got my pay garnished, and struggled for quite awhile. I've never tried to hide anything, it was a lesson learned. But the bottom line is I tried these things because the people company you defend lied about our pay, our pension, our future so I started looking for a way out. Futures trading was something I had been interested in so I gave it a try. If I had been successful I wouldn't be having this conversation with you but since I wasn't and am willing to discuss it you get to gleefully make fun of me. Says more about your character than mine. Living overseas however is a passion of mine, something I look forward to, and that you would characterise it as something disdainful again just illustrates your character. Millions of Americans already have chosen to live abroad. And guess what, people like you, who judge everyone's worth by their "success" in this system, can't stand that ultimately people they feel superior to are beating the system. So you put it down. Have at it, it just reinforces what we think of your character, or lack thereof. Hasta la Vista baby!

You really need to stick to the UPS forum. You don't know j/s about FedEx and now Dano has you buffaloed. Get help.

Yes!!!! Thank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. The same thing, over and over and over.

But why would we expect anything more than groundhog day from a group of career fedexers? It's like the AM sort, the same :censored2: every day, the same arguments, the same stops that nobody wants to take, and the same feeling of relief when you finally pull out of the building and don't have to hear it again until tomorrow morning...

Hey...59 suckalot, friend you want to talk trading start a thread. This one is about pay issues!

Dano is doing his job by trying to take the conversation away from our pay. Increasingly, I think he is a former Ops Manager who blew his way into being the FedEx Social Media Disinformation Specialist (FSMDS).

Sm confirmed 3% for all today, with those that fall between steps get moved to the next higher step. Let's see how long the step ladder can last.

This looks almost just like the quartile raise system before. By giving the top and bottom 3% it effectively puts mid range employees back further in the step range making top out further away and probably impossible given how the company has changed the raises almost every year.

so does the step system move up 3%? hopefully it doesn't except for the bottom and top. this would essentially allow mod range employees to gain a step on that step ladder

Those of us on the lowest payscale should see a payscale upgrade in addition to the 3% plus moving up to next step. Hopefully $2hr.
