One of my European relatives found a long barreled Artillery model in a field in Holland.
Some day I may pick up a 44 mag for giggles.I don't have a Model 29.
... but I DO have .44 mags - Super Blackhawk, Redhawk, Super Redhawk, and a Ruger .44 auto carbine.
Sadly, they fitted it with a standard barrel because the original was badly pitted.Artillery and Navy models are worth a lot more than standard Army.

ouch. There goes any collector value.Sadly, they fitted it with a standard barrel because the original was badly pitted.
My Dad has the barrel.ouch. There goes any collector value.
The carbine is the inaccurate one? What's up with that? I'd like a Henry, but they are so spendy. My Super Redhawk is super accurate. All of my .44's (except the carbine) are accurate.

How do you like the 43?
I love my 19. Just small enough for me to comfortably conceal and carry but just big enough that I don't feel like I'm giving anything up from a full size.I like it a lot, I hit just about everything I shoot with it. It's my carry weapon when I feel like having one. Very easy to conceal. I have a GSSF coupon for another Glock, I'm trying to decide what I want next. My first Glock was a 23, I want one that holds more 9mm rounds than the 43.

I want to get a Crossbreed holster for a Hi Power too so I can carry the MkIII when I get it. I said I wasn't going to carry it when I got the other one but I didn't expect to end up liking it so much.I can't do Glocks. Good firearms. Just not form me.
Me too. I just don't like them, and I can't say why. Very reliable, good shooters, just not for me.I can't do Glocks. Good firearms. Just not form me.
My uncle bought a Kimber 1911 at Gander Mountain. Got it 40% off. kind of a gut punch considering he got it for around 6 plus tax and I got that ATI for 4 plus tax. Could've had a kimber for a few extra bucks. But I did manage to score some MagPul mags for my AR for 8 bucks a piece there.
Kimbers are nice but I think you end up paying too much extra for the brand name. Still, they are well made if you don't mind paying a bit more.
