Is it just me or does it seem that there are a lot of people on here starting threads about "injuries" that we work through on a regular basis? One girl going to doctor for friggin blisters, one cutting their hand, one having bruises, etc. Maybe I'm insensitive anymore but they sure seem wussy.

And no Joe, I'm not talking about you. Yours could lead to something very serious.

Without a doubt. Don't forget getting smashed between a cart and the back of an elevator. Lmao.

Yes infections that cause fevers like joe has are no joke.

Now you calling in with a slight cold on the other hand...

Those infections can go systemic and be lethal.

A girl I work with, who was perfectly healthy, got a steroid shot and got a staph infection from it. Her body started shutting down quickly and she almost died. ER doctor told her she would have died within the hour if she hadn't gone in. She was out of work for nine months.

I had an aunt that had a hip replacement that got a staff infection. She needed it replaced two more times because it kept getting infected. I think they didn't want to replace the replacement and tried to clean it up but it still had staff they couldn't get rid of.
