It was ok. Maybe because I had it frozen in my freezer ?? Maybe fresh would taste better.
A brisket is really just a crappy piece of beef. Kinda like what you would use for a pot roast. In my opinion, the point, cut up for burnt ends, is the best part of doing a brisket. The flat isn't real flavorful, but it is good as long as it's cooked until tender. Makes great beef sandwiches.
And on top of that, every brisket is different. Some are good, others not so much. Don't knock yourself out over it. Get a whole packer, watch a video or two on trimming it and try again. Don't over-spice it. They aren't that hard.
