I have way to many mulch beds to put 3-4 inches of mulch. Already costs me damn near a grand for about 2 inches.3-4 inches of mulch usually keeps weeds out.

I tried round up and didn't work. Tried preen. Didn't work.Looks like thistle. Use Roundup. Use a small paint brush or spray some on a latex glove and rub the leaves. Also use a pre-emergence (Preen).
Don't forget to use spreader sticker. Bonide Turbo is one good type. It helps the product stick to the plant.
