It gets really hot up here for about two weeks. Not worth the investment.
My daughter lives near Albany and she has it.

The humidity is what gets me. If its dry heat a ceiling fan is enough.
After working in that hot tin can,i want to be ice cold on a hot day.

100% agree.
I can keep the house fairly cool if I run both units and use the ceiling fan.
Right now I have all of the windows open as there is a nice breeze.

Hitting the AC button and not having to lug them in and out of the windows is nice.
I still have a window unit in my bedroom,so I can make it snow!

I used to have a window unit too but I don't need it any more since I replaced my a/c.
I really don't need it but I get tired of fit with my wife over the central.
She's 34... still older than my ideal woman's age.... ya know, half your age plus 7
