That's the problem we have as Teamsters. Screw the part timers with crappy starting wages and a year wait for insurance. Screw the retirees because they can't vote. Give back holidays but it's okay we get double time for the day. I want mine and screw you.

Yes I know you have your side business going on but many retired drivers are too beat up to gain meaningful employment.
That was my plan. Retire before I got too old and pickup another job for a few years.

We would have to pay an additional amount. One option we have is going on my wife's insurance. We'll have to crunch the numbers and find out our best option.

It shouldn't cost squat to add a young healthy kid.
I know that doesn't mean it won't but it shouldn't.
UPS will end up paying for it. They will be stuck with older drivers who will not leave.
