Again I am a Teamster and a Tea Party member, no way is OWS like the Tea Party, when we have rally's no garbage is left behind, nothing illegal going on, most members are middle aged or older where as the OWS is mainly college students, who can deny that our children are being indoctrinated into Socialism and communism in our college's and University's! try this find any college or Univ. go there and ask some question's from the students you might be lucky to leave unharmed.

LOL, nothing illegal going on?? Protesting is now illegal?? You guys did leave behind garbage: Govs walker, scott, kasich, the new batch of reactionary nuts in congress. You left plenty.

So you are trying to compare the tea bags with OWS?? True the OWS folks are generally younger. But you gotta love those clueless middle-aged folk with their Obama is a socialist, commie, nazi, the joker, terrorist, kenyan signs and shirts. As well as "Keep your government hands off my Medicare" signs, LOL!! The people in the streets of Egypt and Tunisia were also mainly college students at first. On Thursday Nov 17 it will be joined by unions and their members in a day of solidarity.

You say you are a "Teamster". Great, but why do you go to bat for the 1%?? Which side are you on??

He doesn't admit to being the main cause of said frustration.

So Obama is the main cause of the frustration?? LOL, is he not hiring people and pocketing the profits and hiding them in off shore accountants?? Is obama firing workers for production or flagging stops?? Is he denying people health care because of pre existing conditions?? Did he sign the republican passed law that overturned glass-steagal?? Did he push supply side tax cuts for the rich in a time of war and sacrifice?? Did he put our military in numerous wars of choice while borrowing all the $$ from the Chinese?? Did he allow the banks to speculate with our economy?? DId he give out huge bonuses to wall st execs??

Im frustrated with him for not doing enough to fix what happened before he got in there. Im frustrated for his kid gloves treatment of wall st when he should have taken them on as soon as he got in. Im frustrated he didnt push a simple medicare for all health bill or a huge public works bill instead of the weak stimulus that gave a third of the package away as tax cuts.

What these people are truly frustrated about is how rigged our current system is. How a small sect of our population enjoys a form of corporate socialism while the rest of us have to struggle to survive in the darwinian free for all known as capitalism. We are frustrated that our voices get drowned out by big money in our elections. And lobbyists write the bills that our so called representatives vote on. But you go ahead and keep blaming one person for everything. Maybe one day you will get it.

All he had to do was say "yes" and there would be tens of thousands of jobs starting right away (pipeline) If you are union, the union people are pissed at him for blowin' it off. He can't make a decision until after the election.................so he's willing to risk American jobs in order to not offend his bases.

So you first claim he's pissing off unions (pipeline project) then he can't offend his bases. I thought all you right wingers considered unions his base, or do you, in your wildest imagination, think unions will be supporting the right wing nutjobs after the all out attack this past year?

I'm so sick of these people who work for corporations and then spend their time trashing them. Anyone who thinks they are so bad is free to quit their job, start their own bussiness, buy your own health insurance, work long hours for less than your making at UPS, save for your retirement and deal with employee issues yourself. Those in favor
of the occupy movement, please stop saying you are the 99% you are not! You do not speak for a large percentage of the American people who go to work everyday to support their families and pay their taxes! WE ARE THE 53% who are supporting those who pay no Federal income tax at all! We love this country and live by the rule of Law! The Tea Party is far from dead as some have said,it is getting stronger every day and working at every level to replace representatives that don't represent the working people. OWS can campout and beat their drums till the Marxists come home but all they are doing is hurting the local businesses! Anyone who wants to know the agenda of OWS just get a copy of the Communist Manifesto and read it for yourself. I will be the first to say we have some problems in the USA but there is no greater country on earth period! Anyone who thinks there is, please feel free to pack your bags and go there! DON'T BLAME ME I DIDN'T VOTE FOR HIM!!!

The same markets, policies and taxations you embrace are the ones ruining this country. It may not be easy to see but if you free your mind a bit it will become more obvious.

You say people are free to quit their job and start their own business - which could be considered part of the "American Dream" and "Freedom" but that same freedom and destiny will readily and further and further be squashed by the powerful corporate state entities.

And don't forget the needless regulations that decrease their profitability and time to concentrate on their business.

Tell me what is so wrong with young people reacting to the extreme concentration of wealth in a few hands thanks to neo liberal ecnomic policies of deregulation and union busting. OWS has taken to the streets to protest against the resulting corruption, the way pols can be bought and sold, and the impunity of the white collar criminlas not just on wall st but in corporate america in general. You know the people and the system you love to defend. You say you live by the rule of law yet it is ok for these powerful entities to break these laws and not be held responsible?? And now your answer like the rt wingers up on that stage last night is to tax the poorest among us. God forbid the richest pay their fair share -no the reactionary right wing seems stuck on protecting the rich and powerful at all costs. So be it, but every poll I read states that about 65-70% of people think the wealthy should have their taxes raised.

Typical reactionary answer. But the problem is not just in this country. The people in the streets of Tunisia and Egypt and Libya were all protesting against their rulers who were the guardians of the 1%. Look at the summer protests in Israel where over 500,000 people protested against their own 1 % and their economic policies. In cities throughout Europe, people were out in the streets demanding economic justice and fairness too.

Maybe they should be more upset with Obama not saying 'yes' to the pipeline for tens of thousand jobs immediately!!

Saturday, November 12, 2011 @ 7:46 pm | [h=2]AFL-CIO, SEIU Teaming Up With Occupy Wall Street Protesters For “Day of Action” Next Week…[/h]
OWS-Unions-550x309.jpg

Let the skull cracking commence.
(The Hill) — Unions and Occupy Wall Street protesters will be joining forces next week for a “day of action” to pressure lawmakers on jobs.

The AFL-CIO, the Service Employees International Union and the Laborers’ International Union of North America will partner with Occupy Wall Street for “We are the 99 percent” rallies on Thursday. Liberal groups like MoveOn.org and the American Dream Movement plan to participate.

Many of the events, union officials said, will be focused on urging lawmakers to pass more federal funding for infrastructure.

Bill Samuel, the AFL-CIO’s director of government affairs, said labor has been frustrated by Republican-led filibusters in the Senate to block the parts of President Obama’s jobs bill that would increase infrastructure spending.

“It is an effort to focus public attention on repairing bridges and help with the jobs crisis. The Congress seems to be unable to do either at the moment with Republicans

Wow, You know so much about me from a single post! How you got that I embrace the crazy Democrat/ Socialist , taxation, welfare state, new deal, flat earth no growth environmental Marxist policies that are ruining this country I don't know. I think you need to open your eyes and educate yourself. The American Dream is based in freedom of the individual to suceed or to fail. If you don't like a corporation don't buy their product or service. If a politician is doing something you don't agree with confront them and do everything you can to vote them out! The problems in our country will not be fixed over night or even with one election but if Obama is reelected we will not be the free constitutional republic, civil society past generations have enjoyed!

"The crazy democrat/socialist, taxation, welfare state, new deal, flat earth no growth environmental marxist policies"???? What country are you speaking about?? LOL It was the New Deal policies marked the start of several decades of reduced income inequality, strong unions , higher tax rates on the wealthy, and strict financial regulation. In sum a better standard of living. The nation grew faster and median wages surged. It was Reagan's foolish policies that undid much of the New Deal. From 1981 til today, growth slowed, median wages stagnated and inequality increased. Marx had nothing to do with what reagan did to us.

It's insane that people use those same tired Limbaugh and Beck lines about Marxism etc when they are entertainers looking to incite hatred.

The problem has nothing to do with any of that. It has to do with neither R or D party wanting to change the fundamental issues. Corporations have way too much power and scope and little consequences/limited liabilities, and a payroll large enough to jump through all of the gov't hoops, while small business simply cannot afford to stay in the game.

Talk is cheap; if we know that starting a business the cards are stacked against you, why would you try to beat the system? Do we take our paychecks and run to the casino every day after work and spend all of our money trying to beat that system, too?

Voting "them" out is impossible as there are too many of YOU voting for these clowns like Obama, Cain, Romney or whatever big business tycoon stooge rep on stage. Sure when there are 80 votes your vote counts, but when it's 80 million you can be sure your vote is meaningless.

Then you say "if Obama is re-elected we will not be the free constitutional republic, civil society past generations have enjoyed". It is NOT Obama. Please understand that although he is part of the problem, it is a SYMPTOM of the problem in DC rather than the root. The ROOT of the problem ARE the millions of voters who refuse to open their eyes and see that no matter which party(s) are in control of the senate, congress presidency, they are ALL benefiting and profiting from the same very system that is weighing down and flooding the economies and market and allowing the wealthy to advance and maintain advantages that should not exist.
