Top route in our center drives 2.5 hours to a town, unloads a satellite route & does most of the town then drives home. Bout 10 years ago it had 50-60 stops. Guy retires, next guy got it up to 90. He retires & the present driver does around 120. They build the routes based off of how fast X driver will go.

At one time it was the best route in the center. No rurals, just pavement.
Keep in mind, only the top seniority people win this route

If only people understood this…..

It seems like most of the older guys were the ones taking their lunch back at the center. Most of them have retired by now.
However, most of the younger guys are garbage workers & call in all the time.

Shameful, we worked to present UPS as the best. As ed up as that sounds today, we had pride.

I don't get the lunch at the building or o87 after you hang up your keys? Like wtf. Those 30 minutes spread out throughout the day are my chance to take care of a few things, post on BC, talk to my wife etc

Haha. I take my 10 & 30 after businesses, don't care about air. Just drop it at ups store if I'm going to be out late (which adds a solid 20-30 min, lol)

It’s not passed down like it used to be. Drivers aren’t too smart today. They’re more worried about completing their tattoo sleeve than actually passing down knowledge of the job. Like it’s gonna be there forever, the schmucks.
