Do you mean the first NDA labels where the driver had to sign for every one and tear off the top copy and turn it in? That was a royal pain in the butt. Especially when I was picking up the biggest air shipper in the district at the time.

Weren't those called the "way bill" or something like that? I do remember no tracking and using the proper colored tape for NDA or 2DA.

Waybills were used too but they were mostly a different way of billing.

The heaviest package was 50lbs. And there was a total weight limit of 100lbs on the stop itself I believe. That’s tough.

Recall unloading truck springs that said 50lbs until the limit was raised to 70 lbs.
