I laughed pretty hard when the kid recording calmly said "what the hell?"

But seriously, I think he did trip, and it might explain a bit about what happened afterwards.
It probably hurt a little, and not just his pride. Later you can hear him yelling at the kids about how they made him chase them in "30 pounds of gear" in the hot sun. I mean really? He's complaining to the kids that it's hot outside lol. The guy has an anger problem, and he has a gun and is in a position of power. I'd say it ended about as well as it could have with a D-bag like that in the mix.

I bet one or two kids wouldn't have crashed that party but in larger numbers there is a sense of power and entitlement.
