It amazes me how many times they'll tell you not to break for the air drop(when you call in an bitch about how it'll mess up your day), and when you choose to drop the air(customer service), and not call in. The air is a highly profitable service that apparently UPS could care less about.

To add more insult. Ran 1 1/4 hours bonus. Those 156 parcels peddled was almost a planned 12 hour day.

That's still ridiculous for one stop. Is it a dock stop or carted in and how long does it take to do that place?

Cover drivers have protection no matter what, if you have 4 years in.

Not if you don't run the same route for 5 days a week.

If you are a full time driver with 4 or more years of seniority... You are covered. Anyone telling you different is lying to you.

Took me about 20 minutes. We uses carts for the boxes and totes for the smalls. They have two people there who help.

To what end? A bunch of seasonal outside hires? Or a bunch of new drivers stuck starting at $18+ an hour with a 4 year progression?

TCD isn't a great solution either but at least all our new FT drivers are at 85% of top rate for 4 years.

PT cover driver are not getting pension/retirement and not getting the same benefits as a FT driver. They are not at 18 for 4 years it goes up in increments.

How close to going FT are you?

Hard to say, ive been at UPS going on 7 years. TCD right now i should be full time next year or 2018 but you can never tell
