Preload Pay - 2018 Contract (On Topic)

Yes, why do you think a full-time Walmart employee gets paid less than a full-time UPS driver, who gets paid less than a full-time doctor or a politician? (Because of the work that they perform, I.e., the work load.)
The Part time pay rate should be a balance between the actual work being done and the type of labor/expectations that go with it. The current rate is obviously garbage, at the same time, you’ll piss of any recent college grad by saying “ I make $20/hr loading boxes into a truck. Lol

How do you justify a Union Porter (janitor) being paid $34.60/hr to dump trash cans and clean the toilets? Because they are FT? Or a Union car washer FT or PT being paid the same?

Well this is my first union PT job I’ve had, supplementing my FT white collar salaried job. So I’m still wrapping my head around a porter making $34.60/hr lol. Kinda makes me wish I started here while in high school instead if countless retail chains lol

The porter is most likely working under the provisions of the 1982 contract.
