That could have been accomplished with a head tax on every Mexican who crossed the border.
Heard yesterday that it has surged up to 12,000 a day. There's an urgency with Biden likely losing next year. At that rate there will be over 4 million more entering before Biden leaves office. Add in gotaways and maybe as much as 13 to 15 million new illegals in Biden's 4 years. If unemployment is this low what can we do with them other than support them or deport them? Absolutely ridiculous and amazing that he and Mayorkas aren't impeached for clearly breaking the law.

The surge in undocumented immigrants is because the former president stopped all legal pathways for migrants to enter the country. The former guy also tightened sanctions on some of the counties we are seeing an influx from, worsening conditions in those countries.
The American immigration policy has been broken for decades.
Reagan granted amnesty to 3 million undocumented immigrants., as long as they had been here for four years. Maybe it's time again? We need workers who are willing to enter the system we have and pay their fair taxes. To keep millions of people in a situation that they are exploited by their employers and have to rely on gangs instead of law enforcement for protection is insane.
We need workers. We need an above the ground economy. We need to be a shining beacon again. We can take in millions of immigrants. We have ghost towns that could once again thrive.

Where are these ghost towns that would once again thrive?
And if illegal immigrants are being exploited by their employers it's because they chose to enter this country illegally. But more likely they got exploited by the cartels that brought them here.
Which countries did Trump tighten sanctions on that citizens of those countries are now over running our border?

I wonder why there was no sanctuary cities crying they was full and asking for help with all the illegals when Trump was in?
Venezuela already had millions of refugees from Maduro taking over. They were spread out in Latin America. They weren't coming up here in significant numbers until Biden opened the border.
Cuban and Nicaraguan refugees are a fraction of the illegal crossers. Since Biden took office there have been illegals coming over from about every country on the planet.
Trying to put this on Trump is disingenuous at best. If Biden and Mayorkas had kept the "remain in Mexico" policy, finished the wall, and used the Border Patrol to keep illegals out instead of processing them in, there wouldn't be nowhere near the number of new arrivals. And Republicans wouldn't have a major issue to run on. Cities are getting slammed financially trying to take care of all these people and crime has increased because of them.
If you notice in the article, Trump failed to remove illegals THAT WERE ALREADY HERE because of lack of cooperation from local jurisdictions. Go ask those sanctuary cities how they feel about illegal immigration now because in no way did the Trump administration let in as many as Biden has. Not even close. So to say Trump failed to reduce illegal immigration is patently false. We've got 8 million new illegals under Biden and that number is growing every day. How anyone thinks it's a good idea to let so many in when our debt is through the roof and our social services are already seriously strained is beyond me.
