Shocking, the way you tell it the north were derelict in their duties and let traitors go free or without what was coming due to them . You’re also a spoiled sheltered nobody who never fought a bloody war. The only thing these people want to have was peace, they were tired of families being ripped apart, they were tired killing each other. They were tired of the atrocities of war which were most likely hell on earth at that time. Doubtful you and I could even imagine. They had no desire to prosecute in that manner and they also understood that if they did, there would never be peace. Something we should all be aware of and pay attention to.
