She's kind of scary looking, and even scarier in her ideology. I found this about her:

Scottie Hughes is obviously neither a "news director" or a journalist.
She is a public relations executive, who has done well for herself as the mouthpiece for a series of right wing consultants, fake news organizations and scam artists.
As a member of the speaker circuit for Americans for Prosperity, she is on the Koch Brother's payroll, as AFP is their mouthpiece organization (the employed, and probably still employ Rience Priebus)

This one jumped out at me. This effort was the so called "Truth Tour" which was run by the right wing public relations firm Russo Marsh and Rogers. It was a spin campaign designed to "go around" the "liberal" media and deliver the "good news" about the Iraq war. Various right wing talkers were flown to Iraq, parties in the Green Zone and did remotes broadcasting Bush administration talking points to their red state audiences. It was propoganda in its purest form. And it was orchestrated by a public relations firm with deep ties to the Republican leadership. Russo Marsh and Rogers also ran the recall campaign against California governor Grey Davis. The checks for that campaign largely came from, the burglar alarm fortune of Daryll Issa, who expected to be rewarded for his efforts with the Governor's mansion. Alas, the GOP didn't trust Issa any more than they do now!

TeaParty.net is a fundraising fraud. It gins up fake controversies and uses these in order to raise money off of gullible conservatives. Only about 5% of the money it raises goes to supporting candidates or to real political work. The rest goes into "administrative expenses" (bar tabs, limo rides, etc), and to the pockets of consultants like Russo Marsh, and into the pockets of right wing blogs like NewsMax, WND, and Breitbart. The names and data gathered in these campaigns are resold to other right wing groups, for further churning.
Russo Marsh (the Rogers either retired or got a fit of conscious), are the men behind the curtain of another tea party scam, Tea Party Express, which raised a lot of money off of the gullible and put 91% of it in their pockets.

The "TEA PARTIES" started as a joke and continues to be one. It morphed into a fund raising tool where they suck out millions of dollars from donors. Others, like the ones asking the goverment for tax exempt status, are exploiting the laws to avoid paying taxes.
I can only imagine the fraud going on as these tax exempt groups steal donations from the dopes silly enough to contribute to them.
At the end of the day, they all get what they deserve. Just ask Karl Rove who has collected over a billion dollars in tax free donations to influence elections in every state.

Barack Obama told Marines at Camp Pendleton Wednesday that the United States “will never retreat from the world” merely a day after his Administration warned American citizens to flee the country of Yemen.
According to The Hill, Obama said, “Al Qaeda’s top ranks have been hammered,” and “the core of Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan is on the way to defeat.”
“We do not get terrorized,” he boasted. “We’re going to keep standing up to our enemies.”
Just two days before Obama made these claims, his Administration closed 20 embassies and/or consulates around the world for fear of an attack by Al Qaeda’s affiliate in Yemen. These closures were in response to intercepted communications which indicated collusion between Yemeni forces and Al Qaeda in Pakistan.
The State Department issued a warning Tuesday directing all U.S. citizens to flee Yemen for fear of a possible terror attack by Al Qaeda.
