That is the exact reason it is to be taken in the whole. Taken in the whole, you can't.That's the great part about biblical text. You can take any passage you want and use it to support any point of view you want.
Simplicity of the gospel, no reason to argue all of this anyway.Took me 20 minutes to write it DrivelDipstick. Slow typer.
It's more of a load than you want. Gen.6 has nothing to do with angels procreating.
No BS Evangelical. Just a Christian . Don't have it all figured out, but I do use scripture to answer bible questions.
Twist to my liking? Maybe to your unliking.
Historical context ? Can't go back much further Gen. 4.
All I use is what is canonical. If it's not in the 66 books, I can't discuss it.
Making a point with somebody that is argumentative (DrivelInDrivelOut) isn't arguing , FlorManSimplicity of the gospel, no reason to argue all of this anyway.
It would be something else I guess. It would be something else.
Religion is just an reason/excuse to take from others.

Within that context it was why one tyrant attacks another tyrant or one head of a country attacks another country. It would be something else I guess.
But not take MouseMan...Give to others..not take.

Chapter One : In the beginning there was nothing.A book about an Atheist doesn't take any chapters.
The mentality of the generation on the scene now sure seems ripe for it.Within that context it was why one tyrant attacks another tyrant or one head of a country attacks another country.
I agree, churches give back to the community and the needy.
Even more before our government and others became Socialist in nature.
Now, especially in the urban areas, the Government is suppose to take care of everyone from birth to death.
A real atheist doesn't care and there is no story.Chapter One : In the beginning there was nothing.
Chapter Two : Then something came from nothing.
Chapter Three: Then billions and billions and billions of years went by and the something that came from nothing evolved into something more.
Chapter Four: Chapters one thru three are scientific fact.
Chapter Five : If you don't believe this, you believe in fairy tales.
Theories and scientists come and go but Genesis 1 remains the same. And if you won't have Genesis 1, try Acts 17:24-25. When the last leaves of the last winter falls on the grave of the last theory... these passages will still read:A real atheist doesn't care and there is no story.
They don't talk about it, they don't write about it ... they don't care about what you think.
There is no chapter ... maybe one footnote.
So called Atheists that go out of their way to argue about it and make comments when a religious person makes a religious comment are not atheists.
Thanks for the offer.Theories and scientists come and go but Genesis 1 remains the same. And if you won't have Genesis 1, try Acts 17:24-25. When the last leaves of the last winter falls on the grave of the last theory... these passages will still read:
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." And, "God who made the world and all things therein-gave to all life and breath and all things."
No it doesn't.Theories and scientists come and go but Genesis 1 remains the same

Always liked this one---Thanks for the offer.
However, I don't consider that significant or even relevant to my relationship with my Higher Power ... Jesus.
I like this one, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice. They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger. They do all their deeds to be seen by others. For they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long, love the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues, greetings in the marketplaces and being called rabbi by others.Always liked this one---
" The fool says in his heart, There is no God." ( Psalm 14:1 )
The Pharisees were hypocritical because they claimed to be interested in the details of the law, but ignored it when it didn't suit their purposes.I like this one, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat, but not the works they do.
