So you're not denying being a totalitarianist? I don't care who does it, or the justification. The suspension of rights without due process is always unacceptable. You think it's ok in wartime. We have been nearly perpetually at war since before we were a country. Your justification for totalitarianism would have applied during most of America's history.

Seriously, though. What's I get wrong? You seemed to be ok with Lincoln suspending rights in war time. Am I mistaken? All I did after addressing that was point out the fact that during most of our history we have been at war. Am I wrong?
Huge difference between a civil war and sending off troops to fight elsewhere. And if you add the years up most of our history we've been at peace.
