So. All new PT hires are getting $21?

Current employees get bumped from $21 + $2.75 + (up to) $1.50?

Seems pretty fair.

However, current employees who have been there for 8-10 years and someone who made seniority yesterday would nearly be making the same amount with the difference being how much of that $1.50 they receive. Do I have that right or am I missing something?
Wrong.

Verified current PT employees will make a floor of 21 after the GWI (2.75) is added to their current pay. The 0-4.99 yrs get 0 catch up, 5-9.99 yrs get $0.50, and 10-14.99 yrs get $1.00, and 15+ yr PT employees get $1.50.

So if you are making 18.30 the 2.75 pushes you to 21.05 which is above the floor price of 21 then you add $0.50 for the catch up and being a 5-9.99 yr employee for a total of $21.55. If you were at 17.45 the 2.75 pushes you to 20.20 which is less than the floor of 21 so you get 21 and as a 0-4.99 yr employee you stay at 21 (thereby making the same as someone hired after aug 1st 2023).

It's a really good contract
We got a decent raise and we got tons of good language and no give backs
The worst things I've been seeing is people continually posting false info. Then when they get called out they just do it again elsewhere. It's one thing if you don't agree with something but lying to get others to believe the same is very dangerous.

i get it though. It’s a bummer when the company is willingly paying you more through an MRA than what I’ll get at the end of the 5 year contract

Because if they put that higher rate in the contract, they would have to pay everybody that. Not every area has an MRA. Actually, the majority does not.

which is still way to low if new employees are coming in at $21 an hour.

Another complainer that they think they should be paid more to do the same job than somebody else.

thereby making the same as someone hired after aug 1st 2023)

What is the hang up with you people thinking you should be making more money to do the same job than someone else?

You think they have to put in their time, pay their dues? Sorry, they are doing the same job you are doing. They should be making the same money.

Well on the one hand about a 20 percent bump up is nice but it would be nice if the people who stuck it out for 5-10 years or more would get a bit more than people hired off the street tomorrow that most of which quit after 3 days

But like I pointed out earlier even PTers are vested in the pension after 5 years which is a big thing you’re getting. Getting 3 up to 6 weeks paid vacation etc.
