Seniority Part Timers Employees Got Screwed Again on Tentative contract!!!

So new hires go immediately $21 an hour, an existing employees at $16.20, too? Meaning a jump of $4.80 increased. Seniority Employees get $2.75, it's that equality? Union focused on new hires, and with the possibility of those join the union to get a profit of it. This is not a clear contract, 7.50 an hour increment to the length of the contract. So new hires get what, all those existing employees with 16.20 an hour get what after the first year, they will bump to 21, already. They received bonuses for the last two years on pick season, seniority Part Timers people None! It's this equality?

We Seniority Part Timers Employees, feeling like we working for free all this years, no respect. We skilled employees, getting underpaid, and new hires stepping out unskilled. That's so disrespectful.

This is an insult to our intelligence. There's no Win, Win, Win, Carol!!

This tentative contract sucks again, no equality, only greed, manipulation, and publicity.

I saw unloaders almost passing out on the hub, little fans on their doors, what happens with retirees in this contract? Something is not right. We can't vote Yes, to this crappy contract.

what do you propose sweetie?

So you think that someone like me that has worked nine years as a part time employee should make 50 cents more that someone who is 90 days on the job and made their seniority? Or the same as an employee that has only worked 5 years?
Yes. I make the same as someone that's been working at UPS for 45 years. Suck it up buttercup. You're not special and you still get to use your seniority against them.

I personally wouldn't care if they hired some dope off the street tomorrow and paid him the same as me. I'm still getting my GWI either way.

All I need to know is how the raise is applied for PT in seniority.
Currently I'm at 17.85.
I WANT to read it as: $21 base + $2.75 general + $1.50.
What I think it's actually saying is: $21 + $1.50 since the $21 rate would be slightly more than what my rate would be with the general raise.
That’s exactly what it is except the $1.50 is broken up as follows.
5yrs 50cent
10yrs $1.00
15yrs $1.50

The only difference is you imbred is that you agreed to a cap when you accepted the driver job you idiot. As a pt employee we have no cap on pay. As such it isn’t the same thing. Sorry your tiny mind doesn’t understand that.

Aw, I'm sorry you need to make more than a new guy for doing the same job so that you feel superior.

Again you're not special. Want to get paid more go FT.

long term part time by choice is a crazy life choice. All of us top scale drivers make the same wage. I don't care if you work part time for 20 years and new guys makes close or same as you do, that was your decision
Again it isn’t the same thing. You agreed to a cap on pay when you accepted the driver position. PT employees have no cap.

You agreed to PT wages when you stayed PT.

Definition of insanity: Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

"Hmm I'll stay PT. I'm sure I'll make good money sooner or later... because I have no cap." Lol

Years of service should matter. Only an idiot would think other wise. I am sorry you accepted a position that has a caped salary. Maybe you should take that up with your local union rep. What your were trying to do by comparing your caped pay to a uncapped pay is simply ignorant.

You agreed to make less than half what I make for a veeeerrryyy long time when you declined the opportunity to make the same. You knew what PTers make, you agreed to it.

Unions don't care about fair, they care about equal. Equal pay for equal work. You don't deserve any more than the next guy for the same work.

My bank account would disagree with you.

Keep holding on to that notion that PT is uncapped. Like you're so how free to make whatever you want. Lol

How those MRAs working out for you Mr. Uncapped. :)

You are kind of slow aren’t you big guy. Our situations as a pt employee isn’t even relative to what you are talking about or comparing it to. You agreed to make the same no matter your years of service as your progression has a cap. You knew from day one that your years of service would equal nothing once you hit your cap. Not having a cap should ensure that a 10 year employee should never make what a new hire makes.

Again work smarter, not harder, lol. I will stay PT, drivers are prisoners cameras everywhere, long hours, sacrifice their families for a few bucks, maybe marital problems, stressed, jams, No tyvm. I want peace. There's no problem with drivers, feeders, and management. The problem it's new hires, current employees less than $21, against Seniority employees. It's not about changing FT, either.

I can't wait for this contract to be over so people like you can just leave and never come back here again.

Again your bank account or pay has nothing to do with the facts. Your pay is caped pt is not. I am sorry that hurts your little feelings but it is what it is. Why is this even something you are arguing about anyway it has nothing to do with you.
