The dust is really bad for sure! I open the vent by my feet and open the vents to pressurize the cab and cargo area which helps a lot, but there never is a way to keep all the dust out. Sucks when it's 90+ degrees out and you gotta drive with the doors closed, but I'd rather be sweaty than inhale dust all day.

No, it is the driver's choice to use EC. If you don't feel safe or you think there is a chance you will get stuck, then use the EC. Safety is the most important thing, and a supervisor cannot dictate what YOU feel is safe.

Not once did this ever leave a supervisor's mouth in the last years I've been in the company....not once. Had you not told me, I would have probably never known. Thanks

Get to work. Leave earlier if you have to. No reason not to get those trucks out there. Let anyone that calls in know their load will be double tomorrow and the next day, etc.
