I imagine because Trump is violating it everyday he retains ownership of his corporate empire. When foreign governments pay him to stay at his hotels or approve deals to Trump's benefit Trump is in violation of the constitution. He is receiving benefit from foreign governments, it should be clear to everyone why that is a bad thing for the American people. We'll never know his real motivations.

He hasn't been convicted yet. CREW has filed a suit against him though. There is no legal precedent for the claim since every other president has worked hard to prevent even the appearance of conflicts of interest especially as they pertain to foreign influence. I imagine Trump will be constantly sued his entire time in office just like the rest of his life. I think he just paid out another one this week. What a guy.

Probably because FOX doesn't want you knowing about it. The framers came up with it, so an Originalist Justice shouldn't have any trouble finding Trump guilty.
