Taiwan in the context of One China Policy. Dumb is what Trump was for taking the call, but he was doing a favor for Taiwan lobbyist Bob Dole.
China could move straight in and just take over Taiwan at any time, so they should be scared. Trump's idiotic rhetoric could cause it to happen.
That would be a big deal.

The mainland government runs the show in China, not Taiwan. They exist at the whom of Beijing, who could take it over whenever they want.
