about $4.75 short of what full timers deserve!!($15 total over the next 5 years!!) What happened to "nothing less than $25 an hour for part-timers? That's a concessions if I ever heard of one!! I say no! They got the money and the economy is only going to get worse and their profits will continue to grow. Wake up and smell the BS!! This was already decided two weeks ago. How did they get this printed out so quickly? Bamboozled again!!
Exercise your rights and vote no…this isn’t over yet.

22.3 had their chance to make the big bucks but decided to cruise on easy street for lower pay.
Thats totally a matter of area, district, hub and shift. I've worked with plenty of 22.4s who were mad they had to work in the hub. The 22.4 experience is not universal across the UPS system. Despite what many drivers think some combos work longer hours and do harder work. If it doesn't happen in your periphery doesn't mean it's not true. AGAIN I'm not arguing for the same pay. I'm positing that the 22.4 conversion to RPCD will wrankle the 22.3's feathers. That's it.

They gave over $30B.

I'm sure Carol is happy to get it over with and stop the bleeding and maybe get some volume back. I'll be happy to get all the laid off people back to work. We have too many laid off. Palatine just lost CDW. Almost five 53 ft. trailer per day.

Then again, there are people that would give up every gain we got, vote no and start over from square one. They will never be satisfied.
Who the hell is CDW's other shipper? they realize they need signatures for all of their boxes... Seems like the kind of decision that gets reversed in due time, it's a disastrous decision on their part.

Yeah year round peak aged me. Also they didn’t provide any mask didn’t enforce mask and we had at least 10 incidents where Covid spread on a work area at different times over it. A couple of them still have long Covid.
So we definitely deserve something.
Long COVID or complications from a shot in the arm?

Everyone at my hub is convinced it's 10.25 over the length of the contract with the first 2.75 being paid this year after ratification. If the total over 5 yrs is 7.50.. that's not very exciting.
As a 22.3 I'm not making enough to hang with inflation already. By 2028 I'll be making what a 22.2 makes now. Lol

It's a tough call without all the details. I personally wanted a $23.50 starting PT wage or something that at the very least stays above half of FT top rate. Instead the money is getting spread out in a much more complicated way it seems. $21 could be forgivable if the extra $2.50 that I consider has been lost is realized elsewhere and is readily accessible for the 1 to 10 year crowd.

Remember our old strategy of forcing the company to keep using MRA's in lieu of PT wage increases? I say it mostly as a joke but if inflation trends lower with work still in high demand the company's strategy of dovetailing the largest increase to year 4 could be a huge mistake on their part as they are forced to use MRA from years 1 to 4 and effectively lose all the gamma they were trying to squeeze out. And I would be smugly happy about that.

So 21 for new hires and 21 for new drivers....come on. They better fix progression big time for drivers.

If you transfer from inside to a driving job. And your inside rate is higher then you keep the higher rate until the progression rate passes it.

And the progression rates will increase with this contract.

I went from rpcd to a 22.3 customer counter job. My body thanks me every day. Im not upset by the current offer of raises as a 22.3. To use we get the same contractual raises as everyone. I still think they could be better dont get me wrong. But I knew i was taking a $5 pay cut. But the wear and tear, and now having a SET schedule was totally worth it!

Masks don’t work and I’ve never met anybody with long Covid what wasn’t vaxxed and boosted. Seems like you were stressing about something silly and aged yourself. I worked extra through Covid and got paid more hours while everybody was hiding in their homes like sissies, so that’s my Covid pay.

@MECH-lift has gotta be furious. Everybody is going to be a RPCD.
But not legendary….

Seriously though don’t mess with Mech-lift. I’m a mild poster but we share #camplife.

It’s a lifestyle most don’t recognize. I seriously recommend just buying a ten acre lot and enjoy the freedom that comes with it. The peace of mind that comes with it is priceless.

Sounds awesome. Do you have plumbing and electricity or are you off grid? Did you have to do a lot of work on the land to be able to build there?
