Tentative Agreement

Wait a minute you people under the Hoffa/Hall National Agreement.....I don't think you read your contract the first time around. As far as there being 20,000 22.3 jobs already in place, I hardly think there are either. But how are we hourly's able to monitor whether or not the Union is doing their job? Once again Hall told our Local when grievances were being filed in the last few years about the 22.3 jobs, and them splitting the jobs into two different four hour shifts, that, "This isn't the time to go after the company for this during this economy." That is an actual quote by Hall to the Union Steward fighting these grievances. First of all there is no contract language in OUR Local that says when the economy is bad they can opt out of filling these jobs but there may be language like this in the National Agreement. There is language that says if a job is vacated, they can add a job in another hub to replace that job. Not necessarily in the same building. Also what about that splitting the jobs in two shifts CRAP? I think they need to add something that says they can no longer dismantle a job because they feel like it. They did this to practically every job we have in our building and in several other buildings in our local. Where is the language about this?????????????

Oh and by the way did you see the retirement healthcare premium??? It will go up to $150 for you and $300 for you and your spouse...PER MONTH!!! This may not mean anything to those of you not planning on retiring from UPS but for those of you who are...What is the good of raising the pension when they are raising health care premium costs that high? That's $300 A MONTH. What happened to BIG MOUTH HALL when he said we will not pay $90, $9 or 09cents for healthcare when this company is as prosperous as they are. Lieing sack of $#&ttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember retirees have no vote. They can't vote on this so they stick it to them figuring the rest of us won't give a **** about that and that is where they will make their money. Well it will effect us at some point and if we let them start now imagine how high it will be when we retire. BULL****T!!!!!!!!!!!

New hires will not make more than regular employees. Read the wage progression guys. Although there is less difference between the 1yr and the new hire than there was before. So you are getting the shaft in that instance.

The first change in language Im concerned with so far that I have come across is art 29 sec 1 "An employees schedule will be adjusted by the employer when possible to avoid a situation in which the employee otherwise misses more than one day of work for any day of jury duty". What do you guys think?

If this hourly amount does not cover the required increases in cost required by the Health & Welfare Plans, then the remainder of the forty dollars ($40.00) per week increase will be
diverted to a health and welfare contribution, instead of being available for pension.

Say goodbye to any increase in pension contributions.
