Not necessarily. With how much volume is going and such there will always be full time driver imo. Might be wrong but I believe that. However I do believe their will be a cap on pay. At one point Ups will say that’s it that’s all we are giving and then it gets tricky. But the union doesn’t really work for us they line their own pockets so who’s to say the union will even be around by then.

With 14 billion in profits that's is? Please I'll find work elsewhere if you want me to drive for less than 20

I just don't understand who would vote yes for this. 4.15 is too low wage wise for both PTers and FTers. The pretty new job category is basically driving with less pay and no weekends, and probably more excessive OT because once you hit 60 hours they can finish your week in the hub to avoid DOT issues.

I cannot see who is out there that is gonna see this contract and feel like they gotta vote yes because the contract will benefit them so much. It's not like 22.4 magically adds FT jobs that wouldn't have existed otherwise, UPS would have had to create more FT drivers one way or another to deal with the volume. Who is gonna look at this piece of :censored2: and think it's gold?
And these feeder sleeper teams are runs that we’re going to be put in anyway because of all the issues with the railroads... the teamsters are trying to polish a turd here.... I’m praying there is more in the initial contract but I’m really doubtful at this point... the union probably put out the top “highlights” that they had... so I figure everything else is scraps anyway...

My job is fun
Well for starters, I currently also work for a gov job. I'm trying to get full time there. Would I cap out at 36? No, but I could potentially make more with overtime.

On the other hand. Would I make 36? No but I wouldn't bust my add day in and day out. I would actually be able to retire with an unbroken body.

Idk how you all do it, but idk if I can do this for 30 yrs, and my gov job is a labor position, with equal benefits (if I make it).

My only other incentive is that i could make over $100,000 with overtime if I wanted, but I feel like some drivers already do that.

Plus I could always go back to school and then really friend off this whole career path, I just need ups to pay for it first
I get that but this job is what you make it. If you run like a rabbit dog then yea your body will break. If you fight then then ehhh it’s doable. I barely get 3-4hrs of Ot a week bc I work “safe” and I don’t work production so just take it one box at a time. It’s a marathon not a sprint. Again I get whatbyour saying but saying you will quit is kinda premature bc bi matter where you go especially another union job you are in the same boat..

Think the Teamsters are looking to do that given the way they've already polished this turd and wrapped it up in a bow?

Every company is in it for profits lol. No one is going to be like if we are making record profits her you guys go let’s share it. That’s not how the world works.. the union needs a complete overhaul before we get a good contract I don’t see that happening so.

Actually not trolling man, at my hub the part timer's need to advance into better jobs sorry this isn't the truth you want to hear but its a fact. Why do part timer make 200-300 a week and fulltimer make 800-900 a week at start pay and 2.5k a week at top pay what do you expect?

2.5 a week.... Heh...

I didn't join this job to make less than those before me. I joined to earn my seniority and cap out as a drive... at the very least. I've. Been here for a very short time but even I know this means the end of the current full time position
Every package car driving job will be kept. They will need to keep the amount we have now. There are members who waited 10 to 15 years to go full time. They could use the same logic on you when you get in in a Year in a half. Try being happy for your fellow brothers and sisters.

So the union lines their pockets when at the end of this contract you are making 40.50 an hour. What type of skill do you have where you could quit today and make 40 an hour?

I could take a cdl course, and make a competitive wage. Apparently the 2 tier system was trashed, but we shall see. If not, id rather get my cdl and go elsewhere

You've got your eyes fixed on the shiny object, just like the Company wants you to. Don't look at any of the other stuff going on.

Once again I’ll tell you, you haven’t seen the whole contract. Once you see it all and make your judgment but your conscience.
