Tentative contract

But, let's keep in mind, it's okay if a "legit deal" works out for both sides. I'm fine if UPS feels like it won too, that's how a deal should feel. If that's the case, we shouldn't be so worried about 2028. If they feel they were had, then start saving now, they're coming for us.

How’s about woahing up for a second this one hasn’t even been ratified

Smell the roses for a second good lord

It says $21 starting pay and advance to $23. So idk if that means $23/rh once you get seniority?
doubtful. then they'd be making as much a 10 year PT'er (without a MRA).

Probably applies to starting pay only as it starts at $21 and continues advancing to $23 by year 5
year 1: $21
year 2: $21.45
year 3: $21.90
year 4: $22.45
year 5: $23

Sorry, this is my 5th contract and I just don't see it being any better or worse than any of them really. As I said, par for the course.

You just complained about the givebacks we had last contract.

We got back the givebacks, plus some. Actually, plus a lot. And you say this is not any better or worse? How can this not be far, far above the last contract with all the givebacks?

I would say $23.75. because the minimum would be $21 then you would get the $2.75 raise.
Nope.

18.50 + 2.75 = $21.25

21.25 is greater than the new lower limit of 21.

Now take 21.25 and add UP TO $1.50 (that formula is not public yet) in catch up raise and the new rate is 22 and change.

You are in the group that gets screwed by this contract. Those long time PT'ers that don't have a MRA and make less than $21 currently.

New hires will start at $21 and will progress up to $23 at contracts end i.e. $2 more. Current employee will get no less than $21 and the $4.75 wage increases for a min of $25.75.

...plus FT benefits and a pension after you have been there for 5 years...how many PT jobs, which are not meant to be the sole source of household income, offers these wages and benefits?

Not how i read it.

$18.50 + $2.75= $21.25 > 21

21.25 is not less than 21 the wage increase isn't 4.75 on top of 21. it's 21 is the floor after wage increase of 2.75.

Now add up to 1.50 catch up raise.

So like I said 22 and change.

So if you make 16.20 currently (16.20 + 2.75 < 21 so you get bumped to 21 + whatever part of that catch up UP TO 1.50 you get. Putting you slightly ahead of a new hire.

Do the split from 21 to 23 over 5 years and put numbers down.

It says 21 to start advancing to 23. It's a 5 year contract. Lets see numbers before you criticize someone else.
