Over how many years? A lot more than that got killed in Mexico in the same time period. Spent 3 months in Mexico last year. It's serious in the far east of the country but life goes on as normal in the rest of the country.

No point in arguing with you. I talk online with people in Ukraine right now. It is a serious problem in the area that's affected. But why do many major airlines fly into Kiev and other airports? Why do millions of tourists still come? Stay out of the war zone, no problem. Ukraine is a big country. It would be like someone in El Paso worrying about conflict in Birmingham.
