He's getting "Messed with" because he post some incorrect things on here. In other words, he is just making stuff up.
Yup, just me. This is a haven of speculation. Just because your on the outside doesn't mean you can lay claim of insiders. That's why I talk with 407 on the phone instead of here.
Look all over the news, Republicans are blasting Obama for pushing an exemption for Big Unions. Is it in stone? Prob not. But to say it's never gonna happen is very irresponsible.

Look at it this way....

All members dues, are based on a percentage of their hourly rate.

Part-timers get a full share vote.

But, on average.... their monetary dues contribution is substantially less.

Think about it.

-Bug-
The "I make more so my vote should count more" argument really isn't a good one for a labor union.

At my hub PTers outnumber drivers 10 to 1.
Now I know you're this handsome, intelligent, hard-working driver whose just so damn successful, but I doubt you make 10 times what I make. If so, good for you.

Think about it.

Retired and Happy
I had union dues taken out of my last check because it was cut the following week. I had retired the previous week.

I wrote to my local and was paid back but I'm sure it has happened many times before.

This is not true about the "better benefits than 98% of Americans". I know people who get better or same HC as us, better pensions than us and more time off than us. So you are full of crap.
Those people probably went to school for 4 or 6 years to get those benefits. Unless they're a lawyer, doctor, or surgeon (Who went to school for 8 years), a top-rate driver makes more than them.

Average salary of someone with a 4 year degree is $55,700. A UPS driver makes more than that and never has to spend a day in a college classroom. A driver earning $30/hr. and not making any overtime earns $62,400. Add in 10 hours of overtime a week and a UPS driver makes $85,800.

Average salaries of 4 year degree earners:
Nursing: $68,200
Multimedia & Web Design: $61,200
Health Care Administration: $60,800
Medical Technology: $59,300
Criminal Justice: $58,000
Graphic Design: $56,800
Paralegal Studies: $51,300
Culinary Arts: $50,600

These are facts that you can look up anywhere or double check with a calculator. Not the bull:censored2: I keep reading on here.

Boohoo, we have it so rough here at UPS. I can't believe they're so mean to us.

If you're so worried about a deductible, do what everybody else does (everyone else has deductibles) and establish an emergency fund for when you have to go the doctor. As I've just shown, you can afford it much more easily than the majority of people in the workforce.

It's arguments like these that make me consider taking the teamsters bumper sticker off my car. I wouldn't want to be associated with this.

Your going to have to wait no matter what the outcome is tomorrow.
You have anything to say yet?:) I worked my ass off with my business agents and steward plus our great president. We are a good team. Our local which is smaller than yours out voted you and yours. We had nothing on the line like your members did and we out voted you.

Good leadership and loyal members and stewards. Take a look at what perseverance does for a local. A new slate ever three years is not the answer. Just like going off all half cocked isn't either. I'm proud to be part of a team. Welcome to teamcare :)

Here is what I have to say. You are right your leaders up North helped you with your cause and it immensely helped. Our leaders ran on a vote no platform, got elected and signed an agreement to support the contract but when asked they basically denied doing it and said it was a neutrality agreement. I would like to congratulate your efforts but quite honestly I believe you and your minions did a huge disservice to members who fought against this healthcare and contract. So waller in your victory if you will, point fingers call names. I could care less. I feel proud that in our local and others we stood up against maybe the worst contract in U.P.S. history. We tried to make a difference and would have if it weren't for blind followers who can't understand the word "unsustainable".

Could you kindly post some of these professions that have these equal or better benefits?

Inthegame, so because most companies don't give the benefits that U.P.S. does I should be good with benefit reductions? Are you freaking kidding me? Your comment seems like opinions I have heard before from Republicans and Union haters. Lets get this straight we work for a company that is continually recording record profits and you are good with a contract full of concessions? Maybe we should get in touch with U.P.S. and have them pay us Fed Ex wages because why do we deserve the money we make. I hope you are management because if you are Union, you simply don't have a clue! We work are asses off, we are the backbone of this company. We are the face and voice of the company. Drivers are Salespeople, customer service and the complaint department all wrapped up in one and you question our benefits and pay? Unbelievable!!!!

Bitterness will get you nowhere. I can only imagine how bad you would have been had it failed. I appreciate 407 and his people getting it done up North. Too back our guys down South didn't.

The only thing worse than a sore loser is a winner without grace.
Paul Brown, while he was still in Cleveland I believe, was famous for chastising his players for excessive celebration.
He told them, "act like you've been there before".
I congratulate you for your hard fought victory in this latest battle.
It was fiercely contested by both sides, but make no mistake, we all believe we are on the right side of the argument.
In the process feelings were hurt and feet were stepped on, but in the end, we are all still brothers and sisters.
Asking someone to be a bigger man comes with parameters from the person making the request.
Please try to find the strength to be gracious in victory.

There is no reason to congratulate anyone one both sides felt they were right. The members spoke it should be done and we should be united together again. There are no real winners or losers.

Have I gone off yet. I've welcomed several to teamcare and thanks some from the bottom of my heart. You are the one who told me have fun caving your head in on this site tonight. I haven't done this yet. The poster" I've " has always disagreed with me on the contract but was always respectful. He never let it get personal with me and I respect this about him. Out of all the posters on this site I would have demanded this from you but you let it get personal. You think I liked this? No I kinda hurt but I'm a big boy and instead of sulking I went out and out worked people. It's what I do.

As a youth I never had anyone to believe in me as you know. Now I've found people as I'm a man now and I work as a team with them. Anyone comes after my slate and I'm ready to go. They need something from me I do it. This is called loyalty. I had a dog named Eve as some of you know. I loved her to the point that when she died I was very very devastated. I fell from Grace. I used to call her Loyalty as a name.

I take loyalty very seriously. It's also my name. My guys needed me and I went full force with my team. You underestimated me and so did your steward conference or whatever that secret meeting was.

I'm pretty sure some of you tried to call my members through a secret list. Me and my other fellow stewards have a great repor with our members. You had guys up in out lunchrooms. Feeder drivers from your local and my ba and his pit bull steward debated them and shamed them. It is what it is. When I thought I couldn't do anymore my president called me up and thanked me for what I was doing. He said he needed more though. I couldn't stop yet so I respected the chain of co and and what this great great union man needed me to do and I just kept going. Whatever he needs and what my boys need. I'm a dog whose name is loyalty. A dog is a gift from God as is the understanding of true loyalty. Thank you Jesus for helping me to be a loyal teamster.
