Part of the game is to take a post that’s been deleted and reword it but with the same intent

Most of the time it goes right over the head of the Mod Squad

Life’s to short to get worked up over an anonymous free Internet forum

No he’s no feeling picked on or mistreated. The problem is selective moderation if you can’t see that then you’re missing what’s going on. TTKU. That is a problem on any forum. Either mod everyone or let it rip, can’t have both.

I think I've understood that issue as well as anyone. the moderators are not omnipotent. they dont see all . they have to call balls and strikes when they see them. If you make a post that they see and it blatantly insults someone then its a strike and you're wrong no matter what.
the example given me about upstate saying some people spend too much time here is not an attack on anyone but a valid point on topic on what some think is too much time to spend on a message board forum. Its a valid opinion that was on topic to the thread on the future of this site. you wont like it but its not personally insulting.
I dealt with the issue as management at ups . whenever i would confront someone about something they did that was clearly wrong they often pointed out "well what about the other guy" why are you singling me out.
my answer do your job and you dont have to worry about being picked on. Same thing here. behave and you will not have any issues.

I think the problem is what's getting deleted and what's not.

it will never be a perfect process. dont post anything offensive and you're good.

the moderators cant go through and circle 30 posts and then decide which ones are the worst. my experience is more of my posts should have been deleted for being insulting but the moderators cant be everyone and see everything unless someone reports me.

I'm pretty sure that post was on the Cheryl and Tony thread, It's since been deleted, so I can't verify. If it wasn't a personal attack, it was at very least insensitive and without class.

One of the problems I have with post deletion is it's like altering history, sort of like gaslighting. I'll be pretty sure I remember something that someone said, but when I look for the post, it's nowhere to be found. Did I imagine it, or was the post removed? Who will ever know?

I've had many posts deleted. Mostly because some sniveling rat (Tegrity) turned me in for being crude, vulgar, insensitive and the latest...."Off Topic".

its the browncafe board representing a company where teamsters and management can often be at each others throat.

the fact missing from your argument is many of us from opposite sides of the fences get along here.
