I'm pretty sure that post was on the Cheryl and Tony thread, It's since been deleted, so I can't verify. If it wasn't a personal attack, it was at very least insensitive and without class.

i agree that there would have been a better time and place. but to say it was personally insulting a stretch. we've had that argument about people spending too much time here for decades. its never ever been considered personally insulting here.

I think I've understood that issue as well as anyone. the moderators are not omnipotent. they dont see all . they have to call balls and strikes when they see them. If you make a post that they see and it blatantly insults someone then its a strike and you're wrong no matter what.
the example given me about upstate saying some people spend too much time here is not an attack on anyone but a valid point on topic on what some think is too much time to spend on a message board forum. Its a valid opinion that was on topic to the thread on the future of this site. you wont like it but its not personally insulting.
I dealt with the issue as management at ups . whenever i would confront someone about something they did that was clearly wrong they often pointed out "well what about the other guy" why are you singling me out.
my answer do your job and you dont have to worry about being picked on. Same thing here. behave and you will not have any issues.

Not for nothing, but Upstate Dave has been attacked more than anyone that ever posted on this site (by me included). Not that he didn’t deserve it, but damn we absolutely molested him sometimes.

Unless they’re singling out certain people

thats never easy to say. admins arent going to explain their decision making to you about someone else.
if someone has had more run ins with the law then they may be on a shorter leash.

if someone believes there is one mod that has it in for them then they should bring it up to the top admin for review.
if they dont get their way then either suck it up or move on.

you cant change the fact that you're playing on someone else's ball field playing by their rules.

I don’t mind the personal attacks I really don’t.
These people are the ones who mind it and cry about it. I’m merely trying to see if the TOS is there for all users or just Christians who can’t stand that their god is dead and that they worship a silly rabbi, that they bow to Jewish morality and deny reality right up to the hard sciences proven time and time again in favor of Jewish myths.

They claim to love the west and America, but they don’t even understand the enlightenment and what made the west prosper. Jesus was akin to Mao in the west. Their silly religious authoritarianism descended the west into prolonged dark ages. The Christian churches fought the enlightenment tooth and nail to maintain their power over the “truth”.

Look at this thread that Cheryl and Toni(helped me troll a user before) participated in. You got members talking about running up and throwing hands on someone and mocking them for taking karate. You got a user defending neo-Nazis who post murder smut well past what the first amendment calls for them to get while calling another member foul names and making it personal.

This is browncafe, this is the website I signed up for and have spent the past couple years logging into to go head to head at the Genius Bar in current events.
