The ILA Leader said his union now regards President Donald Trump as one of the greatest friends of Organized Labor and champion of the working men and women of this country.

“He’s a hero to our ILA union and members,” said the ILA leader. “President Trump gets full credit for our successful tentative Master Contract agreement,” said ILA President Daggett. (International Longshoremen's Association)

All Trump had to do was pick up a phone….

For all the liberal onlookers... when Trump makes outlandish statements it's his way to start the ball rolling to his advantage on negotiations. For example, Trump isn't going to send the Marines into Panama. But the Panamanians get billions from us to help them maintain the Canal. Trump is going to make sure that American ships get much more favorable prices on transiting the Canal in exchange for our continuing to aid Panama. So relax, it's Trump being Trump.
So when he said he’d build a wall and Mexico would pay for it, what advantage did he gain and how did it make America better? When he negotiated the oil production numbers with Saudi Arabia in 2020, how did it affect gas prices in America?

We will never know what Trump could have accomplished with the wall back then because the Democrats blocked him at every turn. They would have never fought him so hard if they knew his plan wasn’t going to work. Those gas prices were nice until Biden took over in 2020 and then the steady rise started.

a lot less illegals swarming our border? Border police able to spend more time on drug interdiction and less time babysitting people walking across the border. a more controlled immigration plan? less criminals and terrorists entering our country?
I think everyone can appreciate that poor people are looking for opportunity in the US. But immigration has to be controlled and orderly to ensure they have the schools, roads and other infrastruction needed when they get here.

you're asking the question about one aspect of trumps approach to quantify the benifit. Trumps approach was systematic . Oil independence , deregulation as well as the trade negotiations.

Saudi Arabia was in a dispute with Russia over oil production in 2020. Not Trump's doing. And yes, just like Trump threatening tariffs now, saying Mexico would build the wall got the Mexicans' attention and ultimately their cooperation in shutting the border down.

When Trump stated that he would build a great, great wall on our Southern border, and that Mexico would pay for it, I understood he was saying that if Mexico didn’t fully cooperate in securing our border, that WE would build the wall, and penalize Mexico to recover the cost.

Not everything is literal.

But then, libs can’t understand that.

9 years later and the libs still don't understand Trumps negotiating tactics.

Another win, judge threw the case out.
Under New York state law an unconditional discharge is described as a sentence 'without imprisonment, fine or probation supervision.'
It means Trump will be a convicted felon.

That was the whole point. Just so they can finally call him a convicted felon even if it doesn't mean anything. But now he does get to appeal so the whole thing goes away. Appeals courts wouldn't touch it before.

Great… I call that a win. A convicted felon, misogynist, racist, Putin loving, Hitler loving insurrectionist beat the best that the Dems had. This is great! If this guy can beat them they have no chance of winning… Ever!

Until it's overturned on appeal. Meanwhile he might as well give up his dream to own an AR-15.

An appeal court is going to throw that case out so there will be no conviction in the end. It was always about politics and the Democrats failed to keep Trump from being elected again.
