I agree. Some! That’s the last thing we need are concessions we gave the farm up last time it’s time to get some back

It was such a common sense suggestion. Then drivers play the "can't find you" game.
Same meet points for late air. Shopping plaza, bowling alley, etc. It was not a problem. Then drivers play the "can't find you" game.
Yea it is. Drivers show up late screwing over the staggered start driver.Same meet points for late air. Shopping plaza, bowling alley, etc. It was not a problem.
We have more ethical drivers I guess.Yea it is. Drivers show up late screwing over the staggered start driver.
Our center did this once. Didn't work too well. Drivers started dumping airs at a stop on route to combat the no shows at pick up locations.
PerhapsEthics are a disciplinary problem. No fear of punishment, no ethics. It plays out in these forums as well. Usually, at any poorly run center there are double standards, and discipline is handed out unfairly and unevenly... Until eventually someone gets what they were asking for.
Good news is the 25% don’t have to except the giveback. I also lost almost 60k based on the check I got after the 97 contract back pay I got. Trust me I’m not trying to divide I’m just saying it took me almost three decades to get here. You have to earn it by clawing your way through seniority. Nothing is easy.Um, we ended up with 22.4 as a result of trying to 25% of the drivers on a T-S schedule. I didn't have to go through anything to get m-fri, that's what the job was when I started. I did have to give back $100K of earnings the first 4 years, thanks to the great negotiation skills of the IBT. Pay to play, baby. The guys after me only lost 60k.

Sorry I offended you
Appreciate it. The job is unfortunately the best in our area. (Sad I know) I ignored the supps and thrived on my customers support over the years. The old guys definitely guided me to look at what the job paid for. (Almost two months off a year and a decent life out side of work) definitely a raw deal but heah I’m almost done and way better off than most. Good news is I’m not alone according to this site. A few of us still get it.. stay strong…Not offended in the least. No company is worth wasting 33 years of your life waiting to get a good deal. Pretending that is normal or worthwhile is just an attempt to soften the harshness of the raw deal you accepted.
If I knew it would take that long to get the job I wanted here, I would never have applied. I almost quit after waiting 7 years to go driving. There are enough good enough jobs out there that won't kill you with too much work, or take over your personal life.
Life is too short and precious to sell all of your time for 40-60 bucks an hour to people who hate your guts and wish you would just hurry up and die already.

C'mon now brother, you waited 7 years to drive which leads me to assume you were part time getting lied to saying you'll go driving "soon" for about 4-5 years. The problem is that the company does not allow us to have a decent life outside of work. I'm certainly not giving them 33 years to start having a personal life.
no this is controlled by the ORWM illuminati at the Region/Corp levelCan a dispatcher manually adjust the allotted time per stop?
I paid my dues waiting seven years, losing out on over $100k, and being over worked for the better part of the last seven years driving. That's what you call demanding instant change?C'mon now brother, you waited 7 years to drive which leads me to assume you were part time getting lied to saying you'll go driving "soon" for about 4-5 years.
And now you are pretty much demanding instant change without somewhat paying your dues.....??
I know nothing will happen, ever, unless it makes things worse. You know how this place operates if you've been here any reasonable amount of time. You know nothing will happen overnight.
I know this is only the case because I am surrounded by people without the backbone to stand up to abuse, even sign up for more abuse voluntarily. And you know moving forward they will try to screw and manipulate you any chance they get regardless what's in the contract.
Don't worry about me, I got me covered. I will do what I can to make this a better place before I leave, and not just sit back, spinelessly telling people not to have a spine and just take the abuse or leave.Guess it's time to get that resume together and up n leave for something better before it gets too late in life for you.
That's an awful lot of years to get so little in return. I guess when your expectations are low, you never get disappointed.Ahhhhh......the joy of having 35+ in and just setting it on cruise control and screwing off til I decide to toss the browns in the grill and watch them go up in smoke.
Is it one size fits all or do they discriminate between bonus centers and non bonus centers?no this is controlled by the ORWM illuminati at the Region/Corp level
it's based on geocode and some other things, they couldn't care less about bonus or non-bonusIs it one size fits all or do they discriminate between bonus centers and non bonus centers?
Then why are you still here? Not offended in the least. No company is worth wasting 33 years of your life waiting to get a good deal. Pretending that is normal or worthwhile is just an attempt to soften the harshness of the raw deal you accepted.

Geocode is an improving technology but that’s about as far as the company seems to want to go in implementing a real life accurate system for its drivers. Correct me if I’m wrong, but nothing that I see allows for heavy traffic and every other legitimate real life event that we face that we should be given credit for. It’s a guessing game to some degree. Strong motivation to low ball us to speed us up!it's based on geocode and some other things, they couldn't care less about bonus or non-bonus
