Agree. Just seems like comparing alcohol to drugs that can’t be safely used in moderation isn’t logically sound.

My point was we don’t often know when moderation stops many times. We lie to ourselves very easily..

heroin absolutely can be used safely in moderation. It’s derivatives are used in hospital settings and prescribed by doctors all the time
Of course lots of people end up abusing those pain killers, but most don’t. Most people take their pain killers and stop when they’re out. Doesn’t mean we should ban all pain killers also
But lots of people are not getting prescribed “necessary” painkillers now, because the pendulum has swung the other way, after being over prescribed in the past
I personally wouldn’t use it, but I don’t drink alcohol either. But I don’t think alcohol should be illegal and people shouldn’t use it. Lots of people use alcohol in moderation, safely
Alcohol may even be harder on the body than heroin. Heroin is more euphoric and addictive though, and much more risky since it is illegal and possibly tainted with fentanyl

I’d say the majority of drinkers don’t let if affect their lives or the ones around them
Now granted alcohol is considered not safe at any level physically speaking, but I’m just taking about them being addicts or ruining their lives
I would say the majority of people who drink, do so at the end of the day after their work is done, and still take care of their families
I appreciate you sharing your opinions on this though, especially being able to do so logically and respectfully even with your personal experience with your dad
I know it’s not completely related, but I think it was Ted bundy who said porn was fueling his killing sprees and groups of people were using that and saying it should be illegal and was the trigger of him becoming a serial killer. Fact is most people go home, look at some boobs and jerk off. Some people become obsessed and get addicted, others go down more and more sick paths chasing the extreme and let it take over their lives and ruin their sex life. I still think I should be able to look at a picture or video of some boobs though, even though some people can’t handle it, and others don’t agree with it morally
And speaking of, prostitution should be legal also

Please explain how Trump himself was trying to overthrow the government. He told the people to go peacefully. He wasn’t even at the capital. What did he do that makes him the one responsible for stupid peoples’ reactions? Do you hold a football or baseball team responsible when those stupid irresponsible crowds flip cars and tear up cities after a team wins or loses? Should those teams be banned from ever playing again. Those teams did not send out a message to the people to stop rioting. As if people rioting are going to be watching or listening for instructions from someone.

Listen, Trump went to jail for treason. He spent many many months there! their case was proven without a shadow of a doubt that he was the leader of the insurrection!!! He will never be able to run for president again. Along with that he has been charged with felonies in the hundreds and will spend many decades in prison!!
