I’m not saying you need to be falling over backwards with agape like adoration for Zelensky. And I’m not a fan of the way of the military industrial complex is feeding at the trough again.
But I’d much rather fight a proxy war in the Ukraine that doesn’t spill American blood that roll over on our back and let Russia bounce through eastern Europe again as they build Iron Curtain v2.0.
Most of Eastern Europe is in NATO now. There's just no way Russia is taking them over again. I'm all for giving Ukraine assistance but it has to end somewhere. No blank check. Ukraine has already captured much more weaponry from Russia than has been supplied by the West. If Russia does send in 500,000 inexperienced troops in the Spring they're going to get mauled. The big question is just how much will Russians take of this before they revolt?
I wonder why when Republicans question anything about this war they are framed as Putin lovers? Similar to anyone questioning the efficacy of the covid vaccines being called vaccine deniers, alarmists, conspiracy theorists. It seems when the Left wants something they have zero tolerance for any dissent. We must have lock downs. We must support Ukraine. There must not be any questioning, any accountability. Just do what we say. Not exactly democratic.
