You didn't listen to the interview. Why lead your people into a fight you couldn't possibly win? The Biden administration obviously knew this and has weekend our national security and our national prosperity for what?

I can't imagine one US citizen supporting this. Maybe China is already controlling our government? They're not bad folks folks Biden. All people are potentially good folk, it's the corrupt governments that give em a bad reputation.

Why is this "war" happening? The hero zelinsky is sending 15 year old girls to get slaughtered by the Russians.

The question is, will Russia negotiate a peaceful Ukrainian surrender? If not paybacks will be hell.
Tuck Ukraine. That government is corrupt as all get out. I feel sorry for the people that live there, but if we want this entire world to be better. Taking out the Ukrainian government is the first step. All of the rich families will lose a lot of their wealth.

I’d rather spend money fighting a proxy war in Ukraine than sending our sons and daughters to fight Russia in Poland or China in Taiwan in a few years.
You think Russia would attack a NATO country?

Probably not before having taken Moldova, Georgia, Belarus and maybe Kazakhstan. With Ukraine, the prized centerpiece of expansionist Russia now in its possession, any of those countries would become even more vulnerable to a newly emboldened Putin. China would feel a lot better about the idea of going for Taiwan too.

Russia's economy is smaller than Texas's. They don't have the industrial power or manpower to attack NATO. And they won't in our lifetime.

Things could be bad enough if Russia were to do everything it might want to after having taken control of Ukraine even if a direct confrontation with NATO never materializes. And Russia would be more powerful with its new territories.

It would also be China's turn in east Asia and the Pacific now that the world had seen that offensive actions to seize countries and territories can still be a successful way to operate in the 2020s.

Russia would be more powerful with its new territories? How? Their economies are a fraction of Russia's. No industrial might. If Russia invades those countries it would most likely be to carve off ethnic Russian enclaves which they already did in Georgia. Kazakhstan has a substantial ethnic Russian minority in its north which is where most of its prime agricultural land is.

China's navy is very limited. They've built ships but none can go more than a 1000 miles from shore. They aren't able to project power like the U.S. Navy can. China gets 85% of its fuel and raw goods for manufacturing from other countries. It's extremely vulnerable to having those goods cut off.

How was the Soviet Union as a whole more powerful than modern-day Russia when the economies of the Soviet Socialist Republics were a fraction of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic's?

Why would Russia limit itself to small chunks of countries when they'd already taken all of Ukraine? The resistance offered by those countries would look like a walk in the park in comparison.

It would also be China's turn in east Asia and the Pacific now that the world had seen that offensive actions to seize countries and territories can still be a successful way to operate in the 2020s.
China's navy is very limited.

Their anti-ship missile capability certainly isn't. And their raw numbers alone could also end up being enough. I think we're going to end up defending Taiwan with everything we've got in our Pacific fleet short of nukes or end up not defending Taiwan at all.

Expert's warning to US Navy on China: Bigger fleet almost always wins | CNN

January 17, 2023

"The People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) surpassed the US Navy in fleet size sometime around 2020 and now has around 340 warships, according to the Pentagon’s 2022 China Military Power Report, released in November. China’s fleet is expected to grow to 400 ships in the next two years, the report says.

Meanwhile, the US fleet sits under 300 ships, and the Pentagon’s goal is to have 350 manned ships, still well behind China, by 2045, according to the US Navy’s Navigation Plan 2022 released last summer."

They aren't able to project power like the U.S.

And they won't need to if they're able to use Taiwan itself as a base for its naval fleet and they gain full control of the Taiwan Straight and the South China Sea.

China gets 85% of its fuel and raw goods for manufacturing from other countries. It's extremely vulnerable to having those goods cut off.

That we agree on. Which is why they'd try to take Taiwan very quickly. Unless we've already told China Taiwan is all theirs an attack would start with massive missile bombardments of our military facilities in Guam and Japan. Which is why it's good that we're cutting deals with the Philippines right now.

"The U.S. will expand its presence in Southeast Asia with access to more bases in the Philippines, the two countries announced Thursday.

"American commitment to the defense of the Philippines is ironclad. Our alliance makes both of our democracies more secure and helps uphold a free and open Indo-Pacific," U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said during a press conference on Thursday afternoon in Manila."

The Soviet Union's economy was basically India plus a big military. They couldn't compete with us and fell apart trying. It was also a huge patchwork of many ethnic groups, races, cultures only held together by Russian domination. Furthermore the Eastern European countries can't supply them troops anymore but will supply NATO and fight like hell to keep the Russians out. The only thing the Russians have is nukes.

Raw numbers for China doesn't mean much without the ability to project power. China's navy does not have the capabilities our has, not by a long shot.

The big story for both Russia and China is demographic collapse. Not only are they limited on fighting age men, there's no bigger generation coming up to shore up their numbers. They are aging out. Ukraine is likely the last war of any size Russia will be able to fight and they are losing a lot of young men they can ill afford to lose.

And follow the money. Anytime our defense contractors start telling us we need more ships, etc, run. There's nothing more they'd like then a big buildup of our navy.

Why is this guy so interested in the new world order? We aren't in the club. Ukraine needs to disappear. All the money we are sending there makes it right back into the politicians pockets...
