I think it'd be a problem if Ukrainians weren't very much ready and willing to bleed in the defense of their country from Russia and its dictator.

We'd also be spending far more in American lives and money if we had to fight an expansionist and very much emboldened Russia directly. It'd make what we've given Ukraine so far look like nothing.

I’m really not sure how you know everyone is on board with sending their children to war to die. You could be right, but I wouldn’t be too hip on it myself. I’m completely against war. And if you think, somehow, we’re going to get out of this unscathed the longer this goes on the less chance of that happening.

Pretty sure the defense of their country from Russia is extremely popular. This is a necessary war for Ukraine. The choice for them is to fight it or be ruled by Putin. Russia can leave any time. Although I understand that their dictator's life could be at stake if they did.
