The dollar amount that you have negotiated is less than what is needed to maintain the current accrual rate! How much are we receiving towards our pension on an hourly basis for each full time member at 40 hours worked a week. It's simple from there! Members + pension hourly rate = millions of dollars you get to keep fund strong.

Fact! This contract still falls short of negotiated money than last contract!! Can you admit that!!

Fact is that previous contract give us $2.75 per hour increase going to h/p, now this contract Tim decided that ups doesn't make enough money so he gave them back $0.15. So for years 2013-2018 will be receiving $2.60 per hour going to h/p fund. Numbers don't lie! People do!
 
that really was a nice fairy tale.i love the part about how us members, the girls as you put it cryed about the co pays,and the part about howie saving our pension that was the best.when i get my pension increase i will buy you the brooklyn bridge.they became complacent end of story, that is why they are not in office anymore,and the members suffered because of that complacency.

Ironic isn't it, your still in the minority when it comes to favorable postings on brown cafe. Lucky for you those pizza partys really paid off for u with the part-timers

I still dont get what ???? You talk as if i am on the board!!! I am not.As far as the two to one B/S with the election results.Thank God the members voted the right slate in because as far as i had heard the other two slates said a pension increase was not possible.So if current board did not win, it probably would have been another 15 years before we got a pension increase.So let me see that would bring us to the year 2028 maybe 2029 I don't believe a pension of 3100 a month would cut it by then, maybe if it was subsidized with blocks of cheese and food stamps.Enough with all the B/S about the election it is over, this our board,its time to move forward as a union.This local was pathetically overdue for a pension increase and we got one.Increase is not only for guys with 25 and better years in seniority, increase is for all members who do not want to break there ass in those trucks for longer than 25 years.Because if your pension does not start increasing like it did not almost all the years i have been here you will not be able to afford to retire.

Sure a pension increase is possible when you sell the membership;
1. Still no coffee for new hires
2. VCD's
3. Election Day
4. One hour flex start time (only apply able to pkg car drivers)
5. Two free periods
6. Extending one also to January 15.
Etc...
It is hard to believe that we have members like you in our local! For $300?! While paying over $500 for retires health care.

Gotta give to get!!! Maybe if you feel it was too much to give to get pension up to 4000 then maybe you should have been running your mouth all the years we did'nt get anything in our supplement for concessions.

Nothing is in our hands yet! Promises! Promises! The increase may not be available til June? You don't know! Being in critical status and funded at 65 % an only getting 2.60? Minus healthcare give us 2.23 for pension over 5 years!

When in critical status? Is it legal to allow company to put less money into the fund? If so why did you allow this! Funding relief had nothing to do with there obligations being a BILLION dollar company!!! Oh ya! We gave them money back all kinds of ways and they are showing a 3 quarter revenue of 13.07 BILLION DOLLARS

Ups will release 3rd Q. Profits projected to be over 1 billion dollars!!! But Tim and co. Felt that ups needed $0.15 cents back per hour per member in local804!!

Stop crying its over Tim and company control the part timers, this board will be in office for a very long time. Turns out that Tim is way smarter then anyone from the old board. I don't think he's a good President but he knows how to run elections. 1800 to 1000 , 300 hundred no votes turned to yes votes 800 more members voter after Tim and company hit all the buildings. All that people will remember in 2 years that Tim got 804 a pension raise after 12 years of nothing. Billy said it couldn't be done.... Guess what,, Billy's DONE..... So cry all you want it doesn't matter ........

Is this an attempt to change subject? Just say you don't want to talk about the fact that you allowed Company to out less money in the fund while in critical status! That you don't want to talk about 3 quarter earnings! And the .15 we gave to investors that should be in our fund! Instead we will talk about how you own the part timers and how much pizza you can buy them for votes! It's a brilliant strategy!!

I Congratulate the locals that are left negotiating with UPS! You now have Great leverage knowing the EXACT amount of MONEY they made LAST quarter! It's time to make them share! I'm sure the rest of those locals will have there H/W in tip top shape! I know your pensions will be in the green zone and Cadillac benefits await you! In the game! Teamster 804 and your other buddies! Best contract in the country??? Premature! How about least best!

Maybe i missed something,we have been making billions for years,so enlighten us all why previous board handed us balls supplement after supplement and acted like they were doing us a favor keeping what we already had.You can talk all the B/S you want, cut up your nickels and dimes anyway it turns you on, but current board got the membership a much needed and forgotten pension increase.

Genius, the Bush Crash happened in 2008 but remember the pension having to be cut under Redmond/Buhlert back in 2006?? Now THAT was mismanagement by far!!
As for Tim and co., when they came into office, the Funds were at $650 million. Now we have $911 million. I dont call that mismanagement!!

Howie is not in office and we all suffer! This E/B sandbagged the friend/T members by first having a P/T general meeting only and secondly lying to them, if they did not pass this second vote they would lose their medical improvements. Parking lot meetings for weeks were geared to P/T members only, drilling them on a yes vote . Row B members, wait six months, your tune will change, this is the biggest give away in local 804 history and friend/T work will suffer.
